For experienced potted friends, it is not very difficult to cultivate potted cyclamen. But for ordinary family users, if they want to nurture cyclamen and let it bloom beautiful flowers smoothly as scheduled, they will often encounter a lot of problems during maintenance.

In fact, as long as everyone can master the maintenance skills and manage attentively, things often become very simple. The ultimate goal of raising cyclamen is to make it bloom smoothly, so that we can have a glimpse of it. In order to let cyclamen bloom more flowers smoothly, we usually only need to focus on the following four aspects of work.

1. Cyclamen can not only use bulbs to reproduce, but also sow seeds to obtain potted seedlings. For most places, the sowing time is generally appropriate in mid-November. Because in this way, the seedlings of cyclamen are often not affected by external temperature and light in June-July in summer.

And if we sow seeds in other seasons, although it is easy to breed seedlings, after all, cyclamen's vitality is more tenacious. But in this way, it will often break away from its protection period and enter a dormant state when it encounters high temperature in summer, thus affecting its flowering time. If it is sown in November, it will basically enter the early flowering stage at this time in the coming year, and it will be in full bloom from January to May next year.

2. If you sow in November, you will be able to pull out three leaves and grow bulbs about 0.5 cm in diameter in April of the following year. At that time, we can transplant the seedlings to a 3-inch diameter small flowerpot for maintenance.

Usually fill the small flowerpot with soil close to the edge of the pot, then dig a small hole in the soil, and then plant cyclamen seedlings. But when planting, pay attention to let the seed ball exposed on the surface of the basin soil, and then pour water thoroughly. During this period, it is most appropriate to keep the temperature between 15 °c and 20 °c, and shade in time at noon.

3. After potting cyclamen seedlings, what we need to do well in the later stage is the maintenance and management work. Pay attention to watering not too much, and you need to wait until the basin soil dries before supplying water; you can keep using dilute liquid fertilizer once a week, and you can appropriately increase the concentration of fertilizer during the peak growing season. After entering June in summer, when the temperature is as high as 30 °C, in addition to strengthening shading, fertilizer should be stopped in time.

4. Cyclamen flowering requires high temperature, keeping the temperature at 20 °C as far as possible during flowering, and paying attention to smooth ventilation and good light transmittance. However, as the plant will enter a dormant state after flowering, we should reduce the watering frequency in time and keep watering once a week to keep the potted soil slightly moist. At the same time, put the flowerpot in a cool and ventilated place, pay attention to shelter from the rain, so that you can safely get through the dormant period.
