The new buds of bluegrass grow well, why do they rot (soft rot) overnight? The main reasons are as follows:

1. The concentration of fertilizer and water is too high, which burns the new buds and causes infection.

2. Insect pests occur in new buds and cause infection.

3. After watering, fertilizing, spraying or rain, the heart of the new bud leaves is not dry, scalded by the sun, causing infection.

The above three points occur all the year round, but why do rotten buds basically occur in summer?

Summer happens to be the rainy season, the air humidity is high, bacterial activity is active, these wounds are particularly prone to infection, so now is the season of rotten buds.

How can we reduce rotten buds?

Combining the above three points, what we should pay attention to in peacetime management is as follows:

1. The time of watering, fertilizing and spraying should be well mastered to ensure that the leaf heart will not be exposed to the sun when it is not dry. Such as the use of evening watering, fertilization, spraying or humidity weather do not watering, fertilization, spraying. Ensure the ventilation and ventilation of the whole orchid cultivation site.

2. Two points should be paid special attention to in the process of fertilization. first, when dispensing fertilizer and water, it is best to put a higher concentration of fertilizer and water in a small container to precipitate, and then dilute the clear liquid in proportion, not the sediment. As far as I know, the sediment will most hurt the new buds. Second, spraying foliar fertilizer (spraying fungicides and pesticides) without dripping liquid from the leaves is better to prevent the formation of water droplets from entering the new buds (it is all right if there is more, but it can go away through capillarity and evaporation, the water droplets are the most terrible and can only be evaporated).

3. Kill insects and bacteria regularly.

In fact, it is not terrible for the new buds to rot. Cut off the rotten parts with sterilized scissors, and then wipe them with Dakalin, so as not to touch the water for two days. Generally speaking, rotten buds will not cause grass falling, but improper handling, there are also examples of grass falling. If you are worried, you can also separate the rotten sprouting mother grass into another species.
