Flammulina velutipes, also known as Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus ostreatus, Zizania latifolia, frozen mushroom, Flammulina velutipes, Pleurotus ostreatus, etc., are widely cultivated all over the world. Let's take a look at the distribution of Flammulina velutipes.

Distribution of producing area of Flammulina velutipes

Flammulina velutipes is widely distributed in nature, such as China, Japan, Russia, Europe, North America, Australia and so on. It is suitable for the growth of Flammulina velutipes from Heilongjiang in the north, Yunnan in the south, Jiangsu in the east and Xinjiang in the west. Lingshou in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, grows a large number of white Flammulina velutipes, which is produced and sold in various places in November and February.

Classification of Flammulina velutipes

1. Flammulina velutipes: the cover is hemispherical, 0.5-1.3 cm in diameter, 14-15 cm long, more than 80% uniform, no brown root, no impurities.

2. Flammulina velutipes: the cover is hemispherical, 1.2-1.5 cm in diameter, 13-15 cm long, the base of the handle is light yellow to light brown, the colored length is not more than 1.5 cm, and there are no impurities.

3. Flammulina velutipes: the diameter of the cap is 1.52cm, the length of the stalk is 1015cm, the base of the stalk is yellowish brown and occupies 1max 3, there are no impurities.

Growth conditions of Flammulina velutipes

1. Nutrition: Flammulina velutipes is a saprophytic fungus, which can only absorb nutrients from ready-made culture materials through hyphae. In cultivation, the selection of culture materials has a great influence on the yield and quality. The nutrients needed for mycelial growth and fruiting body development of Flammulina velutipes include nitrogen nutrition, sugar nutrition, mineral nutrition and a small amount of vitamin nutrition.

2. Temperature: Flammulina velutipes is a low-temperature fruiting fungus. The mycelium can grow in the range of 5-32 ℃, but the optimum temperature is 22-25 ℃. The mycelium is tolerant to low temperature, but its resistance to high temperature is weak, and it stops growing above 34 ℃, even dies. The differentiation of fruiting body took place in the range of 3-18 ℃, but the optimum temperature for its formation was 8-10 ℃. Flammulina velutipes grows vigorously at low temperature, the temperature is high, the stalk is slender and the cover is small. At the same time, Flammulina velutipes can stimulate the occurrence of fruiting body primordia when the temperature difference between day and night is large.

3. Moisture: in the mycelium growth stage, the water content of the culture material is required to be 65%-70%, less than 60% of the mycelium growth is poor, and the oxygen in the culture material above 70% is reduced, which affects the normal growth of the mycelium. In the fruiting body primordium formation stage, the air relative humidity in the environment is required to be about 85%. In the fruiting body growth stage, the air relative humidity should be kept at about 90%. The fruit body of low humidity can not grow fully, and the humidity is too high, which is prone to diseases and insect pests.

4. Air: Flammulina velutipes is an aerobic fungus, which needs to absorb fresh air in the process of metabolism. In the stage of mycelial growth, micro-ventilation can meet the needs of mycelial growth. During the fruiting body formation period, a large amount of oxygen is consumed, especially in mass cultivation, when the accumulation of carbon dioxide concentration in the air exceeds 0.6%, the fruiting body formation and cap development will be inhibited.

5. Light: both hyphae and fruiting bodies can grow under completely dark conditions, but under completely dark conditions, the cap grows slowly and small, and most of them form deformed mushrooms, and weak scattered light can stimulate the growth of the cap. Excessive light will inhibit the growth of the stalk. Flammulina velutipes, which is mainly edible stalk, can be shaded by paper tube in the process of culture to promote the elongation of stalk.

6. Acidity and alkalinity: Flammulina velutipes requires a slightly acidic environment, and the mycelium can grow within the range of pH3~8.4, but the optimum pH value is 4-7 and 5-6 during fruiting body formation.
