Trench storage: after the green onions are harvested, dry them on the spot for a few hours, remove the soil from the roots, remove the sick and injured plants, tie them into bundles of about 10 kilograms, and store them in a well-ventilated place for about 6 days; make the appearance of green onions completely dry. Choose the leeward ventilation to dig the ditch distance of 50-70 cm. If the humidity at the bottom of the ditch is small, it can be watered once. After all the water has seeped, put the spring onions in the storage ditch one by one, and then bury the green and white parts with soil. Before the cold comes, cover it with straw curtains or corn stalks. This can be stored until March of the following year.

2. Burying and storage: the green onions dried, selected and bundled by the above methods are placed in the corner of the shady wall or in the cold room, the bottom is covered with a layer of wet soil, and the surroundings are buried in the green onion leaves with wet soil. If it is buried outdoors, it can be covered with grass to prevent freezing before the severe cold.

3. False planting storage: dig a shallow flat pit in the hospital or in the ground, remove the injured and diseased plants from the green onions harvested before the Beginning of Winter, tie them into small bundles, fake plant in the pit, and bury the white part of the onion roots with soil. After burying, it is irrigated with heavy water to increase soil moisture, promote the germination of new roots, slow down the drying of onion leaves and prolong the fresh-keeping time.

4. Dry storage: dry the green onions harvested in the right time for 2-3 days, shake off the soil from the roots and remove the sick and injured plants. when they are dry for seven days, they will be tied into about 1 kilogram of onions, and the roots will be placed in a dry and ventilated place one by one. Pay attention to heat and moisture protection during storage.

5. Frozen storage: after the green onion is harvested and hung for a few days, after the seeds wilt, remove the injured and diseased plants, shake off the soil, tie it into small bundles, put it in an empty room or in a cool, dry place with little temperature change outside, without any heat preservation measures, and let it freeze naturally. In the severe winter, all the stored green onions are frozen, and when the weather gets warmer, the green onions can be thawed naturally. As the saying goes, "if you are not afraid of freezing, you are afraid of moving." do not move green onions during thawing, otherwise they are easy to rot after thawing.

6. open field overwintering storage: the green onions planted are not harvested in the harvest season. before the land freezes, the green onion ridges are highly cultivated and thick cultivated, and then they can be dug up and listed at any time according to the need.

7. Short-term fresh storage: dig a 20 cm deep flat bottom pit near the wall in the shade, cover the bottom with 0.3 cm thick sand, and surround the pit with bricks. The size of the pit depends on the storage capacity. After the green onion is harvested or bought back, first pour 6-7 cm deep water in the pit, wait for the water to seep, immediately put the green onion into the pit, pour some water into the four corners of the pit every 3-4 days, so that it can be kept fresh for about a month, the leaves do not turn yellow, do not dry, can be sold on the market.
