The nutrient content of radish is much higher than that of ordinary vegetables. in rural areas, many people say that it is native life, and newspapers have all kinds of diseases. In fact, radish has a super delicious way, that is to make kimchi, followed by soup is also particularly fresh, many people like a radish rib soup. Well, the next thing we need to know is the planting method and time of radish.

Planting time

Now the planting of radish can be said to be sown in spring, summer, autumn and winter, but the time of sowing varies in different regions. For example, in Hunan, radish is usually planted during the period from autumn to winter, that is, from September to November every year, the yield and quality of radish planted at this time are very good, but if planted too late, it will be frostbitten. Or if the radish is hollow, it's useless. The planting time in other areas, such as Wuhan, is usually sown in March and April, and in North China in July and August, so the planting time is chosen according to different regions.

Planting method

1. Soil preparation and fertilization

Generally, radishes grow deeper, so when choosing planting sites, try to choose plots with deeper soil and loose soil, so that radish will grow faster and have no resistance in the ground. If the soil layer is relatively shallow, then it is necessary to make ridges during soil preparation, and make the ridges a little higher, so as to increase the thickness of the soil. Secondly, it is necessary to make ditches around the land during soil preparation, so as to facilitate drainage and irrigation. The most important thing in soil preparation is to apply enough base fertilizer, usually phosphate fertilizer and livestock manure or organic fertilizer.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

The way of sowing radish is generally direct seeding, burrowing holes in the whole ground at certain intervals, watering each hole before sowing to ensure that the land is soaked, and then sowing, usually putting four or five seeds in each hole, and finally covering the seeds with a thin layer of soil. In about a week, most of the seeds will sprout, then pour water again, add a little urea, and the seedlings can grow quickly.

3. Field management

The first step in field management is because direct sowing will have some minor problems, that is, some seeds have not germinated, so there will be seedlings, so we need to transplant the more luxuriant seedlings and complete the seedlings in the field. Generally speaking, only three seedlings need to be left in a cave, and all the other extra seedlings need to be pulled out, so the fresh and tender seedlings are also a very delicious vegetable. If more can also be sold, many people still like to eat. Finally, there is weeding, generally weeding is very simple, six or seven days after planting, we have to get rid of the weeds in the field, the way of weeding is to plough the weeds and loosen the land as much as possible, and then the second weeding needs to wait until the radish begins to grow. at this time, the whole soil and weeding is to make it grow more smoothly and have more nutrients, and the third weeding is that the radish grows up and gently pulls out the weeds in the field. Each weeding should be accompanied by fertilization, just after weeding, the fertilizer nutrients are absorbed by radish, so that it can grow faster.

4. Disease control

The most common diseases of radish are downy mildew, black rot and hollow. Downy mildew and black rot are all caused by too much Rain Water. In general, in daily management, we need to regulate and control the water in the field and discharge the excess water out of the field. This can play a good preventive role. If it occurs, it needs to be sprayed with Pulick and Hollik suspensions. As for hollow heart disease is generally caused by precocious or too late harvest, so we harvest in time basically will not have this kind of problem.

The above is the radish planting method and planting time brought by the pro-agricultural network, it can be said that as long as you plant radish in accordance with this method, then there will be a bumper harvest. If you want to learn more about the life of radish, please follow us.
