Zucchini is a kind of vegetable similar to the small pumpkin we usually see. it not only looks very similar, but also the planting method is very similar, but there are some differences in the planting conditions. and now zucchini is also a best-selling vegetable on the market, not only more popular than pumpkins, but also more expensive than pumpkins, so now more people grow zucchini. So what do you need to pay attention to when growing zucchini? Then let the pro-agricultural network tell everyone.

1. Soil

Zucchini soil requirements are relatively strict, of course, its growth environment requirements are very strict, but if you want to plant zucchini, then the correct soil selection is the basis of high yield and high quality of zucchini. It is best to plant zucchini in areas where the soil has a strong water storage capacity and is close to the source of water. The second is that the nitrogen content in the soil should not be too high, and the soil layer had better be loose and fruited, which is conducive to the growth and water storage of the roots of zucchini. Finally, the soil has not planted melons and fruits in two years.

2. Temperature

Zucchini is very sensitive to temperature, if the temperature is higher than 30 degrees or less than 15 degrees, then the growth rate of the plant will slow down, the resistance will decrease and all kinds of diseases will occur easily, but if the temperature is lower than 10 degrees, then the plant will stop growing directly, so the temperature has a great effect on the growth of zucchini. The most suitable temperature for the growth of zucchini is about 20 to 25 degrees, so we should always pay attention to the change of temperature when planting, and reasonably use the artificial planting technology to control the temperature.

3. Moisture

Zucchini is extremely intolerant to drought. If the moisture in the soil is not up to standard, the growth of zucchini will slow down, get sick and even wither, so we should water it in time, usually every other week or so. And the soil moisture should be kept at about 70%, that is, you can obviously feel moist when you touch the soil with your fingers. Secondly, if the humidity in the air and the humidity in the soil are relatively large, the growth rate of zucchini is the fastest. Finally, although zucchini likes to be wet, there can be no stagnant water in the field. This is extremely easy to cause root rot and leaf blight and other fungal infections.

4. Cutting branches

In the growth process of zucchini, we also need to pay attention to the removal of some unnecessary branches, leaves, branches, flowers and fruits at an appropriate time, in order to improve the yield and quality of zucchini. Because the branches and leaves are too luxuriant, then the permeability in the field is not good, it is very easy to get sick, and the nutrient consumption is too large to fully meet the needs of the fruit. Resulting in a decline in the quality of zucchini. After setting melons, we need to remove some flowers, branches and leaves around us, so that melons with good seats can grow better.

5. Fertilization

The yield and quality of zucchini are greatly affected by nutrients. In the growth process of zucchini, we need mainly potassium fertilizer. If there is nitrogen in the soil, then basically there is no need to apply nitrogen fertilizer. If not, then only a small amount of nitrogen fertilizer can be applied, because too much nitrogen fertilizer will cause zucchini to grow seedlings without blossom and bear fruit, thus missing the best fruit setting period, resulting in a reduction in yield. But its demand for potash fertilizer is relatively large, potash fertilizer can promote flowering, as well as fruit protection, at the same time, we can also be supplemented with appropriate amount of boron fertilizer, used to strengthen melons.
