With the greenhouse cultivation technology becoming more and more mature, almost all crops can be planted all the year round, and can also ensure the demand of the market. Carrots are, originally, carrots cannot be planted in spring and summer, but with greenhouse technology, they can also be planted in early spring. However, although there is a planting environment, but there are still many friends in the planting process do not know how to manage. There is a correct field management method to ensure the normal development of carrots. Let's take a look at the field management of growing carrots in early spring.

1. Prevent cold and keep warm

Although it was planted and cultivated in early spring, the temperature did not rise completely at that time, and the low temperature environment was not conducive to the growth of carrots, so the first thing is to do a good job of cold prevention and heat preservation. Seal the greenhouse for about a week after sowing, which is beneficial to the emergence rate of seeds. Then every morning when the sun is fully out, open the greenhouse, let the sun shine directly on the seedlings, open the bitter grass in the greenhouse, and let it absorb sunlight to raise the temperature of the field. In the afternoon, when the sun is gradually to the west, close the greenhouse and cover it with grass to keep warm.

2. Suitable distance seedlings

When sowing, the main sowing density must not be too dense, too dense will not ensure that each carrot has adequate nutrition supply and development, resulting in uneven growth and uneven quality. After emergence, it is necessary to carry out inter-seedling according to specific conditions. When it is found that the cotyledons of the seedlings have been fully expanded and true leaves have appeared, the first inter-seedling work can be carried out at about 10 o'clock every morning. The purpose of the seedlings is to maintain a reasonable and uniform distance between the seedlings, although the general second is about ten centimeters, each hole must leave a strong seedling.

3. Enhance ventilation

Almost half a month after sowing, all the seedlings can come out, and at about eight o'clock every morning, when the temperature in the shed is high, the shed can be opened for ventilation. When the temperature gradually begins to drop in the afternoon, close the vents of the greenhouse, the time of ventilation can also be advanced slowly with the temperature rising, and the closing time of vents can also be delayed slowly. As the natural ventilation time increases gradually, the tuyere can also begin to increase, keeping the temperature of the field bed at about 20 degrees. About two weeks before harvest, if the temperature during the day is relatively high, you can uncover all the greenhouse film and cover it again in the afternoon to avoid overgrowing plants because of the high temperature.

4. Rational watering

Because it is planted in early spring, because the growth cycle of carrots in early spring is relatively short, and the temperature is still relatively low, so we should not overwater too early, otherwise the water will lower the ground temperature and affect the growth of carrots. If the soil in the greenhouse is relatively humid, there is no need to water it at the seedling stage. Although the fruit needs to be watered, it must not be excessive. Spray it with a spray can and wet the ground. When the meat takes root, it is the time when the water demand is the largest, and it happens to be in the process of rising temperature, so you can apply a flood in an all-round way.

The above is the field management of growing carrots in a greenhouse in early spring, and we should pay special attention to the occurrence of diseases and insect pests in the process of management. Because spring is the time when everything recovers, and pathogens are no exception, if any of the above four points are not properly managed. It is very easy to cause diseases and insect pests, and the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests is particularly troublesome, so we must manage well to reduce pathogens and reduce the incidence of diseases.
