Cigu, also known as dovetail grass, is a perennial herb. It has a large planting area in the north and south of our country, and many friends are water chestnuts. But otherwise, because the appearance of water chestnut is black and flat, the appearance of Cigu is white oval, the appearance is completely different, just because of many local dialects, water chestnut is called "Cigu son". Cigu has the effects of detoxification and diuresis, strengthening the body and moisturizing the body. Today, the editor has brought you the planting method of Cigu. Let's take a look at it.

1. Select improved varieties

The bulbs with mature, strong growth, good appearance, suitable size and no abnormal diseases and insect pests should be selected as seeds around the Beginning of Spring in March every year. Then the selected seeds are inserted directly into the seedling bed that has been prepared for planting and cultivation, usually according to the specification of 10*10cm. After planting, cover the seedlings with plastic film and keep the water level of the nursery bed at 2-4cm. It will begin to sprout after about half a month, and seedlings will grow after a month.

2. Pseudo-planting of seedlings

Fake planting is usually done after the seedlings grow, that is, after mid-April, when the surrounding temperature has stabilized at about 15 degrees Celsius, and the pseudo-planting sites should be planted in paddy fields that are leeward to the sun, have plenty of fertilizer and water, and have no previous diseases. The distance between each plant should be kept at about 0.5 m, and the row spacing should be about 0.7 m. A field border should be established around the paddy field to ensure that there is enough water in the field so that the seedlings can constantly pull out the stolon. When the stolon is underground, the terminal bud will develop into many ramets. Only when these ramets grow into standard seedlings, they can be transplanted into the field. When pseudo-planting, you should pay attention to weeding frequently, remove useless leaves, and apply farm manure at least twice.

3. Clean up the fields

Field plantations should choose paddy fields with sufficient and clean water sources, convenient drainage and irrigation, and fertile and deep soil. Crop rotation should be carried out, and about 1000 kg of farm manure per mu should be applied as base fertilizer before planting. The growing seedlings of Sagittaria sinensis should be sturdy, at least about 25cm high, and keep the central leaves of the seedlings, about three, and cut off the old roots and leaves that can not grow and develop. It is usually planted from early August to early September. The distance between each plant is about 25cm, and the row spacing is 60cm. Do a good job of drainage and irrigation facilities in the field, level the surface of the field, shallow planting in shallow water, and insert another 50 plants in the field as spare seedlings.

4. Field management

Attention should be paid to constant inspection within three days after planting. If lodging seedlings are found, they should be righted, diseased seedlings with poor growth and serious diseases and insect pests should also be pulled out in time, and then seedlings should be taken from the spare seedlings to replenish the seedlings. The seedlings can be shelved for a short period of time one month after planting, so that the feet will not sink in after leaving the field. About half a month after planting, when the plant grew a few true leaves, the field was ploughed and weeded, the excess weeds and seedlings in the field were removed, more nitrogen fertilizer was applied, and proper combination of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer was applied.

The above is a brief introduction to the planting methods of Sagittaria. Cigu's planting is not very difficult, but it also needs its own careful care. Without a correct planting technique and management method, it is impossible to achieve the goal of high yield and high yield. In the process of planting, we also need to pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, the harm of diseases and insect pests is devastating, if not dealt with in a timely manner, the yield will be greatly reduced or even cut off.
