Cucumber is a very common fruit and melon vegetable, cucumber has moisturizing, heat-clearing, refreshing and other functions, so many people also use cucumber noodles. At present, cucumbers are abundant in some areas of our country, whether they are planted on a large scale or for family use. However, planting cucumbers is not just what you want to plant, because cucumber growth still has certain requirements on the environment. So what are the conditions for planting? Let's take a look at it with the editor.

1. Soil

The root distribution of cucumber is not deep, so we should choose thick, soft and permeable soil for planting. Different soils have different effects on the growth of cucumber, for example, sandy soil can improve the emergence speed of cucumber seedlings and promote the early maturity of cucumber, but the speed of plant aging will also accelerate and reduce the yield. Clayey soil has strong water and fertilizer conservation, which is suitable for the growth of cucumber in the middle and later stage, but the cucumber grows slowly in the early stage and is not easy to mature precociously. Finally, we should pay attention to the soil PH value, about 6.5 is the most suitable range for cucumber growth.

2. Temperature

Cucumber is originally a tropical crop, likes to grow in a warm environment, low temperature tolerance is very weak, freezing damage occurs when the change is about 5 degrees, and the growth rate is slow or even stops growing at about 10 degrees. The suitable growth temperature is about 20 degrees. However, the temperature will also change in different growth periods of cucumber, for example, the temperature should not be lower than 13 degrees after sowing, and the best temperature should be kept at about 30 degrees. During the seedling stage, the temperature should be controlled at about 25 degrees during the day and 15 degrees at night. Therefore, we should control the temperature according to the change of weather and the growth period of cucumber to promote the growth of cucumber.

3. Moisture

In front of the root of the cucumber, the water in the deep soil can not be absorbed. And because the leaves of cucumber plants are thin and large, the rate of water evaporation is relatively fast. Especially at high temperature and high light intensity, cucumber plants are easy to wilt due to lack of water. Therefore, when we plant, we must ensure that there is enough water to meet the needs of cucumbers. Especially when it is hot in summer, it must be watered in time to ensure the water content of the soil and increase the yield. But we should also pay attention to the weather and dosage, if the moisture is too large, it is easy to cause cucumber root rot, cause a variety of diseases and insect pests, affecting the growth of cucumber.

4. Lighting

Cucumber has strong tolerance to weak light, so it is best to cultivate cucumbers in protected areas. When planting, the light time is kept at about 11 hours, which is beneficial to improve the flowering rate of cucumber female flowers, while when the light time is slightly longer, it can increase the flowering rate of male flowers. However, if you stay in the weather with more overcast and less yang for a long time, it is easy to appear cucumber melons and other adverse phenomena. Therefore, in order to maintain the yield of cucumber, we should maintain a certain light intensity and time when planting, so as to create a good growth environment for cucumber.

These are the requirements of the environmental conditions needed when growing cucumbers, and the demand for oxygen and nutrition for cucumber growth is also relatively large. Therefore, when planting, we should pay attention to ventilation and topdressing to meet the nutritional needs of cucumbers, promote growth, increase yield and expand planting benefits.
