A few days ago, China's first traceability system for the quality management of traditional Chinese medicine, which introduced modern information technology such as the Internet, big data and cloud computing, was officially launched in Beijing after being identified by authoritative experts.

As a major country in the production and supply of traditional Chinese medicine in the world, China has been lack of a quality tracking and traceability system, resulting in the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides in planting, misuse in processing, dyeing and weight gain, inferior quality in circulation, grade and price depression and other violations have been banned repeatedly, and it is difficult to obtain evidence to trace the direct responsibility of the actor, which greatly harms the physical and mental health of the users. It has also seriously affected the good reputation of traditional Chinese medicine in China.

In order to ensure the quality and taste of traditional Chinese medicine, on the basis of extensive investigation and research, the Shaanxi Provincial Association of traditional Chinese Medicine, together with the Software Institute of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, jointly developed the "quality Management traceability system of Chinese Medicinal Materials". Led by Lin Huimin, a famous software research expert and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Chen Shizhong, professor and doctoral supervisor of the School of Pharmacy of Peking University, together with 12 national ministries and relevant departments of Shaanxi Province. A group of experts was formed to carry out evaluation and appraisal. After carefully listening to the introduction, on-site demonstration, demonstration and evaluation, the experts agreed that this system has put forward a complete and systematic management traceability solution to the quality problems in the production, processing and circulation of traditional Chinese medicine, and formulated the quality management traceability standard, which accords with the industry standards of GAP, GMP and GSP in the production of traditional Chinese medicine, and can meet the supervision of the whole process of the industry chain of traditional Chinese medicine. So that the source can be traced, the direction can be found, the quality can be verified, and the responsibility can be investigated. In particular, the introduction of Internet of things, big data, cloud computing and other modern information technology, so that the R & D results to reach the domestic advanced level, filling in the lack of Chinese herbal medicine quality tracking and responsibility forensics investigation blank. The promotion and use of this system will enable the cultivation, production, processing, warehousing, transportation, sale and use of traditional Chinese medicine in China to carry out a brand-new revolution in standardized supervision and management, centering on the improvement of quality. it is of great social and economic value to protect and develop the traditional Chinese medicine industry.
