Green pepper is a red pepper collectively known as chili pepper, compared with ordinary pepper, it is characterized by larger fruit, less spicy and even not spicy roots, more as vegetables to eat rather than as seasoning. At present, it is widely cultivated all over the country, so how to grow green pepper? Let's get to know it.

1. Land selection and fertilization

In order to select the loam with fertile soil, rich organic matter, loose soil and good ventilation and deep soil layer, it is required that the terrain is flat, the drainage is convenient, and the Solanaceae vegetables and potato plots are not planted within 3 years. Turn deeply in autumn, fine crushing and leveling the soil, apply 5000 kg of rotten farm manure, 50 kg of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer or 50 kg of ammonium bicarbonate, 50 kg of calcium superphosphate and 25 kg of potassium sulfate per mu, and apply in time before plastic mulching, with a ditch depth of about 20 cm.

2. Sowing and raising seedlings

Before sowing, the seed should be soaked to accelerate germination yield, improve the budding rate and shorten the seedling stage. First, wash the mucus on the seed surface after soaking in clean water. After soaking in water of 55-60 degrees, keep stirring, after the water temperature drops to room temperature, soak for 5-6 hours, fish out a little and put it at 28-30 degrees Celsius to accelerate germination, wash once a day, and sow most of the seeds after sprouting in 3-4 days. Seedlings can be raised by nutritious soil or direct seeding, appropriate amount of water should be replenished after sowing, drought should be prevented, high temperature should be avoided, and appropriate amount of quick-acting fertilizer should be applied.

3. Colonization

When the seedling is 10-15 cm high and has 5-6 true leaves, it can be planted. It should be watered thoroughly the day before planting, and then cut the mound and transplant with soil. The plant shape of green pepper is compact, the reasonable and close planting potential is great, it is beneficial to seal the line early, and the root system is not easy to be exposed to the sun. It has the effect of protecting roots and trees and reducing virus diseases. Generally, 4000 holes are planted per mu.

4. Field management

Timely drainage in the rainy season to avoid stagnant water retting roots, and drought should be timely watering to meet the needs of plant growth, green pepper must be an appropriate amount of fertilizer, supplement nutrition, to ensure the needs of growth and development. Generally, topdressing is needed three times, once after planting slow seedlings, the second time in the young fruit expansion period, and the third time after harvest, the urea is applied with a password of 8kg, and the urea is applied deeply, with a depth of about 10 cm, combined with ground fertilization. it can be combined with foliar fertilizer to spray a mixture of 1% calcium superphosphate, 0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 0.1% urea.
