1. Timely harvest

Just keep the soil moist and make the garlic bulge. Stop watering the garlic a week before the harvest, so as not to cause the garlic skin to rot because the soil is too wet.

3. Harvest time

The time of bolting should be carried out on a sunny day, when transpiration is large, water in the plant is watered, the texture is soft and elastic, bolting is more convenient, and it is not easy to be broken. The harvest time of garlic should also be carried out in sunny days, so that the outer skin of garlic harvested is complete, and drying is faster, which reduces the phenomenon of mildew and rot during storage.

4. Post-harvest treatment

The roots should be adjusted down in time after the garlic is harvested. If the roots are not cut, the stem plate is not dry enough after drying, and it is easy to mildew during storage. Root-cutting is also fastidious, early-maturing varieties with short leaf sheaths should be pruned and stored, shoots should be trimmed at the same time, leaves with 10-15cm long leaf sheaths should be kept; varieties with long leaf sheaths should be braided and stored in braids, only roots should be cut instead of shoots.
