Pepper has a large planting area in our country. Pepper is very popular in many provinces, such as Hunan and Sichuan. The annual sales volume of pepper is relatively large, and its economic value is still considerable. So now the planting area is also expanding, so how should pepper be planted specifically? How should we manage it? The following small series will briefly introduce you, let's take a look together!

1. Preparation before sowing

First of all, we must control the seeding amount, and the seed amount per mu is about 50 grams. Soak the seeds in water for about 3 hours. Then use agricultural streptomycin and other chemicals for disinfection work, after disinfection, clean seeds can be sown. Then we should pay attention to the configuration of good nursery nutrient soil, pastoral soil and farm manure mixed, but also appropriate to add carbendazim and other agents. After preparation, water should be poured thoroughly, then a layer of fine soil should be covered, and then proper sowing should be carried out. After sowing, a layer of fine soil should be covered on the seeds to improve the moisture retention ability of the soil.

2. Timely planting

Pepper seedling planting needs to be determined according to the soil temperature, generally in the soil temperature above 15 degrees when planting. Do not plant too early, planting too early, the soil temperature has not yet risen, will inhibit the growth of pepper seedlings, there are flowers and fruit drop and other undesirable phenomena. When planting, we should control the planting density and adjust it appropriately according to the variety. For example, the planting row spacing of early-maturing varieties should be controlled at about 45cm, and the plant spacing should be kept at about 30cm. For late-maturing varieties, the plant spacing should be increased by about 25cm. The last planting time should be selected in sunny days, preferably in the afternoon, to facilitate pulling seedlings.

3. Water and fertilizer management

After planting, we should apply appropriate fertilizer to improve seedlings, not too much, otherwise pepper seedlings are easy to appear excessive growth phenomenon, delay flowering and fruiting period. After the first and second layers of fruits, the amount of topdressing should be appropriately increased to provide nutrition for pepper fruit expansion. After entering the harvest period, it is more important to ensure that there is sufficient fertilizer moisture. When watering, we should adjust the irrigation time and irrigation amount according to weather, soil and other factors. If you encounter the rainy season, then timely drainage, otherwise it is easy to appear deciduous dead plant phenomenon.

4. Intertillage and weeding

After pepper seedlings survive, we should pay attention to the management of intertillage and weeding. After planting, appropriate shallow cultivation once, improve soil permeability, break hardening. Then after the plants begin to grow, increase the intensity of intertillage to promote the growth of the roots of the plants. Before closing the row, a final cultivation is carried out. Intertillage can not only improve the structure of soil and promote the growth of pepper, but also achieve the purpose of weeding, avoiding weeds affecting the growth of pepper seedlings and reducing yield.

The above is a simple introduction to pepper planting technology and management. Pepper planting technology is actually relatively simple, in the planting is mainly to do a good job of management, to ensure the normal growth of pepper. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help everyone oh!
