Tomato planting is mainly based on planting seedlings, rarely heard of the use of other methods, because seed breeding is convenient and efficient, and is the main effective method. In modern agriculture, in order to emerge neatly after sowing, disinfect and sterilize, and reduce diseases, seeds need to be germinated before sowing, break seed dormancy, and then sow. Now I mainly want to introduce the method of seed germination and how to do it. I hope it will be helpful.

1. Requirements for budding

To provide a suitable temperature and humidity environment for sprouting, tomato seeds generally need to be crisp at a temperature of between 20 and 25 degrees, with a humidity of more than 80%. In addition, due to the warm environment to prevent mucus for a period of time, all should be taken out and cleaned every day, then drain the water, then wrap it with a clean wet cloth, and then continue to sprout. In addition, there are frequent flipping, so as to ensure good ventilation. Before accelerating germination, the seeds must be soaked in chemicals or stirred in hot water to sterilize, and then germinate after disinfection to avoid carrying bacteria in the seedlings.

2. Sprouting in earthen pot

The sterilized seeds are cleaned, drained, wrapped with soaked gauze, and then placed in an earthen basin, which can be covered with some hay to prevent moisture, and then covered with wet gauze, not too little gauze, preferably 3 to 4 layers of gauze. After that, put the earthen pot in a warm place, and it can sprout, and it will sprout in a few days.

3. Sprouting by sand

The advantage of sand sprouting is that the sand is moist and transparent, reducing the possibility of seedling diseases, sprouting is relatively fast, first wash the sand, and then sun exposure disinfection, and then collect and use. After the seeds are sterilized, the seeds and sand are mixed in a ratio of 1 to 1.5 and packed in an earthen basin. Add a layer of wet sand and put it in an insulated place. The tile basin is chosen because of its good air permeability.

3. Heat preservation and budding

Sprouting directly in the incubator, it is generally an electronic temperature-adjustable incubator, which may need to be set at about 25 to 28 degrees at first. When most of the seeds break the skin, the temperature of the newly broken part is lower, about 20 to 24 degrees after most seeds are exposed, they should be transferred to the refrigerator to break dormancy, keep 5 degrees low temperature treatment, and sprout as soon as possible.

Tomato seeds must be disinfected first, and then provide appropriate temperature and humidity for germination, so no matter which method, we must meet the appropriate germination environment, in order to ensure the effect of germination, to accelerate germination quickly and sprouting.
