Nowadays, "Internet +" is a hot word, and many industries are doing everything possible to add it to the Internet, and agriculture is no exception. And compared with some other industries, the call for "marriage" between agriculture and the Internet is stronger and more resolute. The new technologies and ideas of the Internet are bringing unexpected changes to agriculture.

In fact, in recent years, the development momentum of Internet agriculture in China is still good. Take agricultural e-commerce as an example. Last year, the online trading volume of agricultural products in China exceeded 100 billion yuan, accounting for 3% of the sales of agricultural products. According to statistics, at present, there are more than 3000 agriculture-related e-commerce platforms in China, showing a trend of rapid growth.

Agricultural e-commerce is only a major performance of "Internet +" in the agricultural field, and "Internet +" has also achieved preliminary results in agricultural Internet of things and agricultural information services.

However, at present, the development of Internet agriculture is still faced with some problems, such as the change of concept, the construction of business model and so on. Agriculture to embrace the Internet, not only to use the Internet to transform agriculture, while the development model should also be in line with the characteristics of agriculture itself, in the collision and integration of agriculture and the Internet, we should also find the business logic of the Internet era.

There is more than one problem in the development of Internet agriculture, and in the face of many problems, we need to start from the root. At present, the more urgent and basic problem is to make clear what should be added to "Internet + agriculture".

First of all, we should closely combine the Internet with all aspects of agricultural production. For example, traditional farming is only based on experience fertilization and irrigation, which not only wastes a lot of manpower and material resources, but also poses a certain harm to environmental protection and soil and water conservation. The use of Internet technology can make the way of planting and breeding more scientific and accurate. Internet technology has entered the agricultural production links such as breeding, cultivation, irrigation and harvesting, forcing agricultural operators to develop precision agriculture and promoting fundamental changes in the traditional mode of agricultural production. Today, this change is quietly happening around us.

Secondly, we should add agriculture and e-commerce together, and the most important thing is to develop e-commerce for agricultural products and agricultural means of production. A misunderstanding needs to be corrected here. Agricultural e-commerce cannot be simply understood as helping farmers sell agricultural products or buy means of production, but more importantly, it is necessary to establish a consumption-oriented agricultural industrial system, that is, from "what farmers produce and sell" in the past. to the model of "we produce what consumers need".

It is also very important to make full use of existing Internet resources to build a traceability public service platform for the quality and safety of agricultural and sideline products, and to establish a connecting mechanism between export of origin and market access. It is necessary to speed up the promotion and application of information technologies such as mobile Internet, Internet of things, and wireless radio frequency identification in all aspects of production, processing, circulation and sales, strengthen the docking of upstream and downstream traceability systems, and constantly expand the coverage of traceability systems. to achieve traceability of agricultural and sideline products "from farmland to dinner table", and to ensure "safety on the tip of the tongue".

It can be predicted that the entry of advanced information technologies such as the Internet of things and big data into traditional agriculture will bring opportunities for agricultural transformation. When agriculture "encounters" the Internet, there are a lot of applause. However, at present, special attention should be paid to the fact that the development of Internet agriculture requires a process, and we should not rush for success or pull up seedlings to encourage it.
