What about the curling leaves of Tiger Pilan?

Last Updated: 2024/11/05, It can reach about one meter in height and is often found in potted plants at home. Because its flowers don't bloom very often, we mainly watch its leaves. However, sometimes its leaves will be curled. Why is that? What should we do if we encounter such a situation?

1. Moisture

(1) reason: there are two different situations about water. The first one is lack of water. If we forget to water for a long time, so that the basin soil is in a very dry state for a long time, then it is likely to cause the leaves of this plant to wrinkle or shrivel. The other is quite the opposite, because we have watered so much that the roots are flooded, so the leaves are easy to curl up.

(2) solution: we can judge which situation is caused according to the dry or wet state of the basin soil. If there is too little water, then we can spray some water on the leaves first. Pay attention to spray water first, do not water, if immediately watering, it will easily lead to root rot. When the leaves of the plant return to normal, we can pour a little water. If the watering is too much, then we need to reduce the amount and frequency of watering according to the situation, or adjust it according to the specific period. If it is in the three seasons of spring, summer and autumn, considering that its growth rate is relatively fast, it can be watered a little more; however, in winter, it must not be overwatered, and it is better to keep the soil in a dry state as far as possible.

2. Temperature

(1) reason: if the temperature is too low, especially in winter, causing frostbite of the plant, it is also possible to make its leaves curl. At this time we can look at the base of the leaf, if the whole here is rotten, this is the reason.

(2) solution: for this reason, we need to take some measures to keep the temperature above ten degrees from late autumn to winter.
