Zucchini is a very common vegetable on our daily table. Zucchini taste delicious, high nutritional value, so it is also welcomed by many people. Therefore, there are many people who grow zucchini now, and as the technology becomes more and more mature, it is now possible to grow zucchini in winter. So how do zucchini grow in winter? The following small series brings you the winter seedling technology of zucchini. Let's take a look together!

1. Soil preparation and fertilization

Zucchini like to grow in slightly acidic soil, suitable for growth of soil pH value is generally around 6. The ability of zucchini to absorb fertilizer is relatively strong, so pay attention to the amount of nitrogen fertilizer applied, not too much, otherwise zucchini easy to grow. Thus causes the flower drop fruit phenomenon, even appears the disease. Pay attention to the reasonable preparation of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer when applying fertilizer. Then do a good job of soil preparation, maintain a soft soil, improve soil permeability. Promote the growth of the roots of summer squash, improve the success rate of winter seedlings.

2. Seed soaking and germination

Winter temperatures are very low, so we have to do a good job of zucchini seed soaking germination work. First, put the seeds in clean water and remove the dried immature seeds. Then wash it again and soak the seeds in warm water at about 60 degrees for about 10 minutes. Eliminate pathogenic substances from seed dead coats. Then soak the seeds in water at about 25 degrees C for about 4 hours and remove them to dry. Then wrap it with wet gauze and put it in an environment of 30 degrees. When most of the seeds are exposed, they can be sown.

3. Sowing seedlings

When raising zucchini seedlings, either in seedbeds or in nutrient bowls. We had better prepare good nutrient soil first, which is also the key measure to ensure the cultivation of strong seedlings. It is mainly garden soil that has not been planted with melons within three years, combined with decomposed manure, and then added with appropriate amount of plant ash. Mix and sift well, then remake the bed or put it into a nutrient bowl. When ready, seed can be sown and covered with about two centimeters of fine soil. then spreading proper amount of methamidophos bran on the bed surface for pest control, and then sealing with a small arched shed film for heat preservation and moisture preservation until emergence.

4. Seedling temperature management

Winter temperatures are very low, so temperature management during the seedling stage is very important. After emergence, the temperature during the day should be kept at about 22 degrees, not exceeding 25 degrees, and if it exceeds it, it should be cooled in time. The temperature at night should be controlled at about 12, and the humidity should not be too large to avoid diseases. At the same time, we should also do a good job in the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, such as methyl thiophane and chlorothalonil. Ensure that seedlings thrive and avoid unnecessary losses.

The above is a simple introduction to winter squash seedling technology. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to help everyone oh!
