One of the major characteristics of modern agriculture is mechanization, especially after the concentration of land, the demand for agricultural machinery is becoming more and more urgent, and the national agricultural machinery subsidy has solved the financial pressure for farmers to a certain extent, but with the development of the times, the demand for agricultural machinery is becoming more and more large and diversified, which makes these large grain growers feel great pressure in the absence of agricultural machinery subsidies. In addition, the investment in agricultural infrastructure is still waiting for these big grain growers. Can they overcome this hurdle? Dang Guoying, an expert on agriculture, rural areas and farmers and director of the Macro View Office of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, believes that this fully shows that China's agricultural machinery has a certain lag in the formulation of subsidies and other systems. Over time, he believes that there will be some improvement in this area in the future.

Dang Guoying: the relative proportion of the import of large agricultural machinery in our country should be relatively small. The operation scale of farmers in our country is not large, so many farmers basically use domestic agricultural machinery. Policies generally take into account the mainstream situation. I guess the problem may be here, but I believe there will be changes in this aspect in the future. Even in international trade negotiations, other people will raise this issue. As long as it is the purchase of agricultural machinery, there can be no discriminatory policies. Domestic production and foreign production are divided into two policies. in fact, there are joint ventures at home, so the situation is a little similar to that of imports. I think it will take a while to adjust the policy.

Dang Guoying believes that the price of large machinery is high, and the subsidy for agricultural machinery is a drop in the bucket relative to the purchase price, and the real subsidy to growers should proceed from reality, adjust measures to local conditions, and take appropriate measures.

Dang Guoying: local governments can have a certain degree of autonomy and flexibility on this issue. if they do use it by themselves, instead of getting the machinery for other treatment, they might as well adopt some flexible measures according to the efficiency of the machinery and give him a subsidy. Or according to the efficiency of the machinery he buys, take some other ways to subsidize. But there is a very troublesome problem here. What our country advocates now is moderate scale operation, which is generally 8-15 times the average local scale. In this way, the efficiency of agricultural machinery required will not be as high as what I just said. The scale of 3,000 mu must be outside the scope of moderate scale operation advocated, and ordinary farmers cannot reach such a scale, so this is a relatively isolated situation. I think this matter needs to be adapted to local conditions, and the policy on subsidies can also be formulated flexibly. At present, this problem is not universal.
