Spring is the breeding period of Toona sinensis. In recent years, the demand of Toona sinensis in the market is also increasing. Besides eating, Toona sinensis is also an excellent tree species for landscaping. Do you know how to grow a tree? Let's take a look at it together with Xiaobian.

1. Seed soaking and germination

First of all, try not to be suitable for local fresh planting before planting, after selecting seeds, seed soaking and germination treatment should be carried out, and the method varies according to production conditions. Poor conditions can be poured into warm water of 30-40 degrees, while pouring into the edge of soaking, when the water temperature drops to 25 degrees is a new warm water scrub, wash after warm water soak for 12 hours. After that, take out the seeds, dry them, stir them evenly with wet sand, put them into a greenhouse for germination, keep the temperature in the greenhouse at about 25 degrees Celsius, and sow them when one third of the seeds are white after one week.

2. Seeding at the right time

Toona sinensis likes warm environment and is sensitive to low temperature. Generally, the germination temperature of spores is 8-12 ℃, and it can grow normally in the environment above 14 ℃, so the suitable sowing period is generally 3-4 months. If the method of sowing film mulching can be properly sown in advance, the plot with loose and fertile soil and sufficient light should be selected when sowing. First, the sole water should be poured, and then the raking should be leveled in time. The row spacing of 25×30 cm should be ditched, and the ditch width should be 5-6 cm. Generally, the sowing amount per mu is 3-4 kg, ensuring that the seedlings per mu are about 15,000.

3. Seedling management

After sowing, if there is no plastic film covering, it can break soil in one week and seedlings can be harvested in half a month. If plastic film covering is adopted, seedlings can be accelerated, but attention should be paid to high temperature seedling burning. Therefore, after seedlings are unearthed, the film should be broken in time and the film mouth should be pressed tightly. After emergence, the roots of seedlings are underdeveloped, and the soil is too shallow, so they are afraid of water shortage and low temperature, so they should be watered once in time during the three-leaf period, preferably with warm water. When the seedlings grow to more than 5 cm, it is necessary to appropriately reduce the amount of watering, pay attention to intertillage and weeding, when they grow to 4-5 leaves, thin seedlings, strengthen fertilizer and water management after thinning seedlings, and cultivate strong seedlings. In summer is the vigorous growth period of Chinese toon, at this time, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied in combination with watering, and foliar fertilizer should be applied to promote seedling lignification, improve cold resistance and make young buds full.

The above is an introduction to the seedling technology of Toona sinensis. I hope it can help you. If you want to know more about it, please pay attention to us.
