The latest Seedling method of Sweet Pepper
Sweet pepper is a kind of vegetable belonging to the genus Capsicum, which is planted all over our country. The nutritional value of sweet pepper is very high, when planting sweet pepper, its seedling work is very important. A reasonable seedling raising work is not only the key to ensure the normal growth of sweet pepper, but also an important measure to ensure the quality and yield of sweet pepper. So how do sweet peppers grow seedlings? Today, the editor has brought you the method of raising sweet pepper seedlings. Let's take a look at it.
1. Soaking seeds to accelerate germination
Before sowing sweet pepper, we first need to soak the seeds in warm water of about 55 degrees to promote germination. When soaking the seeds, pay attention to constantly stirring the seeds. Make sure that the water temperature can be reduced to about 30 degrees within ten minutes. Then remove the seeds, soak them in potassium permanganate solution for 10 minutes, then wash them with clean water and soak for about 5 hours. Then wrap it with gauze and put it at a temperature of about 25 degrees Celsius to promote germination. After about 5 days, the seeds can be sown. The seeds can also be soaked in trisodium phosphate solution for 15 minutes, which can play a role in killing the virus.
2. Allocation of nutrient soil
When raising seedlings for sweet pepper, we should also pay attention to the allocation of nutritious soil. The quality of nutritious soil is the key to ensure the normal germination and emergence of sweet pepper seeds. Usually, the field soil without bacteria and eggs and fully mature farm manure can be used as mixed soil. Then apply appropriate amount of calcium superphosphate, carbendazim and trichlorfon to disinfect it and stir it evenly. Then cover the film for about half a month, and then put it into the seedling tray, pour in enough bottom water, ready to sow seeds.
3. Sowing and raising seedlings
After we have done the work of accelerating the germination of the seeds and configuring the nutritious soil, we will be ready to sow. Sow the germinated seeds directly into the seedling tray or bed. After sowing, cover the fine soil about one centimeter thick, and then cover the plastic film to improve the heat preservation and moisture retention capacity of the soil. When about 75% of the seeds break the ground and come out of the seedlings, the plastic film will be uncovered. When the seedlings grow about three true leaves, they can begin to divide the seedlings. Put the seedlings into nutrition bowls of 8cm to 10cm, one seedling per bowl.
4. Temperature and humidity management
Before the seedlings are unearthed, the ground temperature should be controlled at about 20 degrees, and the temperature should be kept at about 30 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night. Then, after the seedlings are full of seedlings and the cotyledons gradually expand, the temperature should be lowered appropriately to avoid excessive growth of seedlings. Do a good job of ventilation and maintain a suitable temperature 3 days before seedling division. We can also refine the seedlings at low temperature to ensure that the seedlings can slow down normally after seedling division. And before dividing the seedlings, the humidity should be dry and not too wet. After dividing the seedlings, the new leaves will begin to grow. At this time, the water in the bed soil will evaporate quickly, and the soil will be relatively dry, so it will be properly watered.
The above is a brief introduction to the method of raising sweet pepper seedlings. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. I hope it can help you all.
