At present, growing vegetables in greenhouse is the main way to cultivate out-of-season vegetables, but we should pay attention to several points in the process of plastic film mulching in greenhouse, otherwise it may cause huge losses to vegetable production. Following the nine-year-old editor, let's take a look at the four taboos covered by the vegetable greenhouse.

1. You can't choose industrial membrane.

Greenhouse film mulching can generally be used for industrial film and agricultural film, generally, agricultural film must be selected in vegetable production, industrial film must not be used, because industrial film contains certain toxic substances, it is harmful to the growth and development of vegetables. The agricultural film can be divided into transparent film, black film and silver gray film, which should be selected according to the season, vegetable variety and covering purpose. For example, for the purpose of warming and moisturizing, we should choose transparent film, while those with cooling, weeding and moisturizing should choose black film. Silver gray film should be chosen to control aphids.

2. Don't neglect water management.

Many people think that plastic film mulching has the role of water conservation, often ignoring water management, in fact, water conservation can also be preserved, so it is necessary to maintain sufficient soil moisture before plastic film mulching, which is the key to ensure seed emergence and normal growth of seedlings. On the other hand, if the soil is sticky and heavy, more moisture and lack of oxygen, which is extremely disadvantageous to seed germination and root growth, this kind of land should be dried first and then covered with plastic film when the soil moisture is appropriate, otherwise it is very easy to retting roots and dead seedlings.

3. Do not sow seeds in advance

Plastic film mulching sowing can not be too early, because after plastic film mulching, the low temperature is better, the soil moisture is good, and the seedlings emerge quickly, but when it comes to late frost, it is very easy to suffer frost damage, resulting in dead seedlings, so the sowing time should take into account many aspects. The first is the demand for environmental conditions of the seedlings; the second is the local frost period; the third is the time from sowing to the emergence of the seedlings. Only when these three conditions are suitable, sowing before frost and emergence after frost will help to increase production and income.

4. Don't apply fertilizer blindly

In order to increase the yield, many farmers apply fertilizer blindly, especially when sowing or strip application, which will not only cause fertilizer waste, increase planting costs, but may even cause rotting seedlings. However, some farmers think that high yield can be obtained after plastic film mulching, so the application of fertilizer is less, resulting in early senescence in the later stage, which seriously affects the yield. When applying the base fertilizer, it must be fertilized in the whole layer, and it should be turned 20 cm to 30 cm deep, and it should be fully mixed with the soil, and it should be strictly prevented from being applied shallowly in the topsoil layer. The amount of fertilizer applied should be accurate, not too much or too little, and the organic fertilizer should be fully mature.
