Seed drying

Seed drying can enhance the water permeability and air permeability of seeds, improve the germination rate, make the seeds germinate neatly, the seedlings are strong, and have the effect of sterilization and disease prevention. Especially for the seeds with poor maturity and damp during storage, the effect of seed drying is particularly obvious. Drying method: choose high temperature and sunny day from 9: 00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m., drying for 2-3 days. When drying the seeds, they should be thinned, turned frequently, and sunburned thoroughly, so that the seeds are evenly exposed to light and heat, and the seed coat is prevented from being scraped.

Brine seed selection

Brine seed selection is a simple and easy seed selection method, which can eliminate empty grains, grass seeds and other inclusions, ensure that the seeds are full, and lay a good foundation for full seedlings. The specific method is as follows: first boil the salt into concentrated salt water in a pot, and then mix it with clear water in other containers to form salt water with a specific gravity of 1.10-1.13 (if there is no hydrometer to determine the specific gravity, one fresh egg can be put into salt water, and the egg floating surface can reveal the specific gravity of eggshell about 1.10-1.13), put the seeds in salt water and stir fully. Remove the empty grains, grass seeds and other inclusions floating on the water, then take out the sunken seeds and wash them with clean water twice. Every two or three times, the specific gravity of eggs should be measured again, and the concentration of salt water should be adjusted in time.

Seed disinfection

Rice diseases transmitted by seeds are mainly dry tip nematode disease and evil seedling disease. Strict seed disinfection is a simple and effective way to control these two diseases. The commonly used seed disinfection methods are as follows:

1. Soak seed Ling 1 (2 ml) with 10 kg of water, 6-8 kg of seed, and soak seed under shade for 120 hours. The control effect of this method on dry tip nematode disease and evil seedling disease is more than 95%.

2. Mixing 98% Batan powder with water 6000 times, adding 3% carbendazim solution mixed with alginate iodine, soaking seeds for 72 hours has a good effect on the prevention and control of dry tip nematode disease and evil seedling disease.

Attention should be paid to seed disinfection: in the process of seed soaking, it should be stirred every 6 hours or so to evenly apply medicine to the upper and lower seeds. after soaking the seeds with potion, the seeds should be soaked in clean water for half an hour and repeated twice to prevent drug damage.

Seed mixing with yield-increasing bacteria

Mixing rice seeds with yield-increasing bacteria before sowing can play the role of strengthening seedlings and increasing production. The method is to mix 20 jin of wet seeds with a bag of yield-increasing bacteria (20 grams) before sowing, and then sow the seeds.
