Corn occupies a very large proportion in China's planting industry, and after a lot of scientific research and development in recent years, great changes have taken place in maize varieties and resistance. There are many kinds of corn with strong resistance, and the adaptation to the environment is getting stronger and stronger, but fertilization is still a very important link in the high yield of corn. Today, the pro-farming network has brought you some practical information about corn fertilization. I hope it will be useful to all of you.

Fertilization method

1. Base fertilizer

The basic fertilizer for corn planting is the basis for the growth and development of corn, so applying the basic fertilizer is to prepare for the high yield later. we usually use farm manure mainly, supplemented by chemical fertilizer, with an average of 3,000 jin of farm rotten fertilizer per mu, as well as about 50 to 100 jin of phosphate fertilizer, compound fertilizer, potash fertilizer and urea, which are evenly sprinkled on the land that has been turned over, and then re-prepare the soil to submerge the fertilizer into the soil. In this way, it can maintain fertility and enhance the resistance of maize growth, so that corn can adapt to the growth environment as soon as possible.

2. Qi Miao fertilizer

Maize seedlings will grow about ten days after planting. Due to the different growth rates of corn in the soil, some will grow faster, while others will grow very slowly. In order to increase corn yield, we will carry out a fertilization at this time. According to the different degrees of maize seedling growth, the weaker ones will apply a little more fertilizer, and the stronger ones will apply a little more fertilizer. This can promote the growth of weak seedlings, let them quickly catch up with the growth of the strong, and ensure the consistent growth rate of maize seedlings in the field. Qi seedling fertilizer mainly uses urea, which requires about 50 kilograms per mu on average.

3. Seedling extraction fertilizer

In many places, due to climate reasons, if corn seedlings grow too high, it will lead to maize seedlings breaking and heavy losses, so corn seedlings do not need to grow too tall. when the corn grows to 40 centimeters, we can apply a seedling fertilizer to the corn in the field. Seedling fertilizer is not simply to improve the growth rate of corn seedlings, but to let corn grow quickly and promote flowering, so as to improve the growth efficiency of corn. Seedling raising fertilizer and Qi seedling fertilizer are similar to urea, but they can be mixed with about 30kg compound fertilizer, which can enhance the resistance of maize seedlings to a certain extent.

4. Promoting fruit fertilizer

Fruit-promoting fertilizer usually occurs after the ear of corn, when a small corn cob appears, then we can spray some foliar fertilizer and a small amount of boron and potash fertilizer to ensure the survival of the corn cob and promote the growth of the corn cob. in this way, the corn cob will grow faster, at the same time, the corn grain will grow fuller, but also can play the effect of ripening.

Matters needing attention

Corn fertilization mainly pays attention to timely fertilization and local fertilization, generally speaking, fertilization can be carried out in accordance with the above mentioned periods of time, but sometimes there are special circumstances, such as the slow growth of corn seedlings, we can also apply more fertilizer, followed by the lack of soil fertility, relatively poor, can be increased application. Then, when applying fertilizer, we should pay attention to that the fertilizer should not be too close to the root of the corn seedling, otherwise the corn seedling will be burnt out, and there are chemical fertilizers such as urea and compound fertilizer that we have to cover with soil after application, otherwise the fertility will be weakened. finally, foliar fertilizer should not be sprayed too hard.
