The cultivation of hemp has a very long history. When it was first planted in the Han Dynasty in China, it was a kind of natural fiber. In the past, many clothes were made from hemp, and its functions of air permeability and heat dissipation were very good. Now other values of hemp have also been developed, and the already rare hemp has become a relatively hot product. And the cultivation of hemp is becoming more and more popular, so today we will follow the pro-agricultural network to see how hemp is planted.

1. Select improved varieties

Although the planting prospect of hemp is not very good for a long time, there are still many people planting, and there are always all kinds of problems in the process of planting, so the varieties of hemp have been improved for many years. Now there are many varieties of hemp, so when we choose varieties, we try to choose seeds with fuller particles, more uniform size and better color. Secondly, although the resistance of hemp is very good, we still need to analyze the climate and environment of the planting site, and then select the best variety. After all, the seed quality is the basis of its high yield.

2. Land selection and preparation

The planting of hemp is best to choose soil fertility is relatively sufficient, and the soil water storage capacity is stronger, while the permeability is better, sandy soil quality is more in line with these characteristics, followed by the soil pH should be moderate, the most important thing is that hemp growth needs sufficient light, so it is best to be sunny. When preparing the land, we should pay attention to turning the land as deep as possible, and then fine the soil. Finally, we need to open the box of the land, which is generally 1.5 meters wide, and then we need to set up a good ditch in the field, which is generally 20 to 30 centimeters wide. In this way, the drainage system will be more perfect, and it will be convenient for drainage and field management.

3. Rational sowing

We usually sow seeds in March and April every year and in July and August every year, because the temperature of the soil has basically reached about 10 to 15 degrees, which just meets the basic conditions for the growth of hemp. Then we have to treat the seeds before sowing, which is conducive to seed germination, but the method is actually very simple. Is to put the seeds in the sun for five or six hours to sow. There are three methods of sowing, and the most common one is strip sowing, which is simple and easy to manage, and then there is sowing in holes, which can be malformed according to our own planting habits. After sowing the seeds in the field, we have to cover them with a thin layer of soil. Then cover it with a layer of straw or film, so that hemp can germinate faster.

4. Scientific fertilization

Hemp is different from other crops. Apart from the base fertilizer, it only needs to be topdressing twice. The first time is when the sweat grows five or six centimeters, which is mainly for raising seedlings, so we mainly use urea. At the same time, topdressing is carried out by sprinkling fertilizer. The second time is when hemp grows to about 30 centimeters, this period of time is the fastest stage of its growth cycle, so we can apply the right amount of urea at this time, which can speed up its growth.

5. Field management

Field management generally includes weeding, watering, drainage and pest control. Weeding is actually relatively simple, that is, the time for each fertilization is the time for weeding, so that nutrients can be absorbed more easily and the soil can be ventilated at the same time. This can enhance the disease resistance of hemp. The growing leaves of hemp need to have a certain amount of water, especially when it is growing most vigorously, basically every three days, but usually about once every ten days, when there is more rainfall, we need to discharge the water in time, there can be no stagnant water in the field, and finally, pest control is carried out. The most common diseases are sudden fall, downy blight and downy mildew. We can control it with Bordeaux liquid, chlorothalonil and aldicarb water agent respectively. Insect pests are generally jumping beetles and weevil, and we can directly eat trichlorfon solution to control them.
