Since many young people do not have too much contact with the cultivation of crops, they think that Tartary buckwheat and buckwheat are the same thing, but there are still some differences between them. Tartary buckwheat belongs to the buckwheat family, but the taste of Tartary buckwheat is slightly bitter. but the nutritional value is very high, suitable for the general population, and for the current health partners is a very good choice. So today let's take a look at how Tartary buckwheat is grown.

1. Seed selection

We need to select varieties scientifically according to the climatic conditions, soil conditions, market demand and other factors that need to be considered in planting, so as to avoid blind introduction. At present, the better Tartary buckwheat varieties are Yunnan Tartary Buckwheat No. 1, Sichuan Tartary Buckwheat No. 1 and Sichuan Tartary Buckwheat No. 5, and Guizhou Tartary Buckwheat No. 1, if they keep the seeds on their own, then we should choose seeds with full grains, uniform color and free of diseases and insect pests.

2. Land selection and preparation

Tartary buckwheat in China is mainly produced in Chongqing, Sichuan, Yunnan and Guizhou, so we need to choose the soil according to the growth habits of Tartary buckwheat, the root system of Tartary buckwheat is relatively weak. therefore, it is best to choose acidic soil with complete soil structure, fertile soil, good soil permeability, loose soil and organic matter. When preparing the land, we should deeply plough the land, and add the right amount of farm manure, and finally, we should trench according to the distance of 1 meter to 1.5 meters per box, and then we can prepare to sow seeds.

3. Sowing seeds at the right time

Generally speaking, Tartary buckwheat can be sowed in two seasons, that is, sowing seeds in April and August every year, and the seeds need to be treated before sowing, because the seed coat of Tartary buckwheat is relatively hard, so the budding rate is relatively slow, and the budding rate is not high, so it is necessary to soak the seeds in warm water, then mix them with chemicals to accelerate germination, and finally sow seeds. The most commonly used sowing methods are strip sowing and on-demand sowing. Strip sowing requires making small ditches according to the distance of 25 centimeters per row in advance, and then sowing the seeds evenly, while sowing seeds directly, but we should also pay attention to the distance between seeds, which is 30 centimeters per row and six seeds per plant.

4. Field management

Wait until about five days after sowing, we need to check the growth of Tartary buckwheat seedlings in the field, and timely replenish seedlings and inter-seedlings, and water Tartary buckwheat seedlings in time, which can improve the survival rate of Tartary buckwheat. Because the growth cycle of Tartary buckwheat is relatively short, so our most important fertilization is actually base fertilizer. In the later stage, we only need to make reasonable application of phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer and boron fertilizer according to the growth situation of Tartary buckwheat. Another important aspect of field management is weeding, which usually requires only two ploughing in its whole growth cycle. the first time is when the Tartary buckwheat seedlings grow five leaves, that is, about eight or nine centimeters. The second time is when the Tartary buckwheat seedlings grow to about 20 centimeters.

5. Pest control

Tartary buckwheat has strong adaptability, but there are still some common diseases and insect pests, such as ring streak, brown spot, downy mildew and blight, as well as beetles, armyworm, borer and moth pests. In view of the previous diseases, we can generally use drugs to control the diseases. At the same time, special agents can be used in the early stage of the disease. Specific agents can be consulted. For these pests, we can use trichlorfon and some other pesticides to control, at the same time, we can also use trapping technology to trap and kill, so as to ensure the quality of Tartary buckwheat.
