Since 2014, China has imported a total of 3.63 million tons of corn, an increase of 19.57% over the same period last year. About 2 million tons of Ukrainian corn have been arriving in Hong Kong since April, and six ships of US corn have also arrived in Hong Kong from June to August, so China's corn imports are under great pressure from June to August. China's corn imports will remain at a level of about 800000 tons in July, and the annual import volume is expected to be 4.5 million tons, an increase of 37 percent over the same period last year.

Customs data show that China exported 360 tons of corn in June and 578 tons last month. The export destination is mainly North Korea. Exports of corn totaled 10700 tons so far in 2014, down 11% from the same period last year. The export volume of corn in China has shown a downward trend in recent years. In 2013, China exported 22400 tons of corn, down 72% from the same period last year.

It is estimated that China will import 9 million tons of sorghum, 6 million tons of imported forage barley and 4 million tons of DDGS in 2014, with a total replacement of more than 16 million tons of corn, with an annual increase of more than 8.2 million tons. Taking into account the poor overall demand in the feed industry and the substantial increase in imported substitutes, corn feed consumption is expected to be 106 million tons this year, down 7 million tons from the same period last year.

So far in 2014, the total import of sorghum has reached 7.42 million tons, an increase of 199% over the same period last year. China imported 1.087 million tons of sorghum in June 2015, compared with 1.004 million tons last month and 581700 tons in the same period last year, according to customs data. Of these, 626700 tons came from the United States and the rest mainly from Australia. Among the main import customs, Nanjing, Qingdao, Guangzhou and Huangpu Customs imported 124500 tons, 231300 tons, 246700 tons and 215300 tons respectively.

According to the summary data of China's wheat imports, China imported 1.3946 million tons of wheat from January to May 2015, a decrease of 1.1605 million tons, or 45.42 percent, compared with 2.5551 million tons in the same period last year. Of these, imports from Australia totaled 638600 tons, down 49.01 percent from the same period last year; imports from Canada were 519500 tons, up 66.66 percent; imports from the United States were 186900 tons, down 74.77 percent from the same period last year; and imports from Kazakhstan were 4.46 tons, down 77.17 percent.

Import and export figures released by the General Administration of Customs show that China did not export wheat in June. Summary data show that from January to June 2015, China exported a total of 3000 tons of wheat, all exporting countries to the United States, with a cumulative export value of 791500 US dollars, an increase of 3000 tons and 791500 US dollars over the same period last year.
