Fruit corn is a variety of corn, which has a great market demand in our country. Fruit corn can not only be steamed, boiled and other edible, but also can be eaten directly raw, and has a very sweet taste, welcomed by many people. Now more and more people want to grow fruit corn, so how to grow fruit corn? The following editor brings you the planting technology of fruit and corn, let's have a look!

1. Soil selection

Fruit corn can not be self-pollinated, and it can not be pollinated with ordinary corn at flowering stage, otherwise it will have a great impact on its quality. So when we choose to plant soil, we try to avoid planting ordinary corn around us. If any, it should be at least 300 meters away from it, staggering with the florescence of ordinary corn. The soil should have sufficient fertility and strong permeability, and then do a good job of soil preparation, dig drainage and irrigation ditches, and expose the soil for ripening. Apply enough base fertilizer a week before transplanting, mix it fully with the soil, and then tidy up the soil.

2. Soaking seeds to accelerate germination

Doing a good job of seed soaking and accelerating germination can effectively improve the germination rate of fruit corn seeds. First of all, we need to soak the seeds in warm water of about 30 degrees for about 5 hours, then take them out and air-dry them. Then wrap it with a wet cloth and put it at a temperature of about 33 degrees to accelerate germination. The time for germination is controlled at about 3 days. When more than half of the seeds are white, they can be sown. When soaking seeds, we must pay attention to control the time of accelerating germination. If the time is too short, the effect of accelerating germination is not good, and the germination rate is low. If the time is too long, the rotten seed rate will increase and the germination rate will also decrease.

3. Sowing and raising seedlings

The seed germination rate of fruit corn is relatively low and expensive, so we had better use seedling bowl to raise seedlings after accelerating germination. Improve the homogeneous seedling rate and ensure the whole seedling. First of all, it is necessary to apply sufficient base fertilizer in the seedbed, and fully mature farm manure and food intake compound fertilizer should be applied about 7 days before sowing. Then rake the soil finely and sow one seed in each nutrition bowl. After sowing, cover about one centimeter of fine soil, and then cover a film to improve the thermal insulation performance. After emergence, the plastic film was opened, the management was strengthened, the seedlings were watered properly, and the seedlings were transplanted when they grew to 3 true leaves.

4. Field management

When transplanting, we should pay attention to control the planting density to ensure sufficient permeability. When transplanting, each planting hole should apply an appropriate amount of compound fertilizer and pour enough water to improve the survival rate of transplanting. After survival, an appropriate amount of farm manure was applied per mu to meet the nutrition needed for seedling growth. Then do a good job in ploughing and weeding, the water in the field should not be too much, the stagnant water should be discharged in time to prevent retting roots. In the second crop of management, due to the high temperature, although the management method remains the same, it is necessary to appropriately advance the time, increase the amount of fertilizer application and ensure the yield.

The above is a brief introduction to the planting technology of fruit and corn. The planting technology of fruit corn is different from that of ordinary corn, so we should pay more attention to avoid some unnecessary losses and affect the planting efficiency. That's all for today's introduction. This article is for reference only. Thank you for your reading and support.
