Mango is produced in Yunnan, Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian and Taiwan. it is born in slopes, river valleys or wilderness forests at an altitude of 200-1350m. Distributed in India, Bangladesh, Indo-China Peninsula and Malaysia, it has been widely cultivated at home and abroad, and more than 100 varieties have been cultivated. China alone has cultivated more than 40 varieties. The planting conditions of mango are as follows:

Temperature condition

Mango likes warmth and is not resistant to frost. The average annual temperature of mango production areas in the world is more than 20 ℃, and the lowest monthly temperature is more than 15 ℃. The average annual temperature of producing areas with normal growth and fruiting in China is 19. 5%. 8-24. 1 ℃, but the average annual temperature is 21-22 ℃, the coldest month is more than 15 ℃, and there are most frost-free areas in the whole year.

The effective temperature for mango growth is 18-35 ℃, the suitable temperature for shoot growth is 24-29 ℃, and the daily average temperature for fruit setting and young fruit growth is higher than 20 ℃. Insufficient temperature, poor pollination and fertilization, or even inflorescence death or seed embryo abortion. When the temperature was higher than 37 ℃, the florets and fruits produced sunburn, less than 10 ℃, the new shoots and spikes stopped growing, and below 5 ℃, the seedlings, tender shoots and spikes were cold. About 0 ℃, the aboveground parts of seedlings, the spikes and shoots of adult trees, and outer leaves were all damaged, and died in severe cases. The young trees below-3 ℃ froze to death, and the big trees were severely frozen.

Light condition

Mango is a light-loving fruit tree, sufficient light can promote flower bud differentiation, flowering and fruit setting, improve fruit quality and improve appearance. Usually in the sunny side of the crown or in the open environment, the single plant blossoms more and the fruit setting rate is high; mangoes with too many branches and leaves, closed crown and insufficient light blossom and bear less fruit, and the appearance and quality of the fruit are poor. Through shaping and pruning bentgrass, the light conditions in the garden and trees can be improved to increase the yield and prolong the high yield period.

Water condition

Mango grows well in the area with 700-2000mm annual rainfall, and the uneven distribution of annual rainfall in South China often affects the growth and development. In the florescence and early fruiting stage, if the air is too dry, it is easy to cause falling flowers and fruit; too much Rain Water leads to rotten flowers and poor pollination and fertilization; excessive rainfall in summer often leads to serious fruit diseases; autumn drought after harvest often affects the germination and growth of autumn shoot mother branches.

Soil condition

The soil requirements of mango should be loam or sandy loam with deep soil layer, low groundwater level, rich organic matter, good drainage, pH 5.5-7.5.
