Plums are deciduous trees of the genus Prunus in Rosaceae, also known as Jiaqingzi, Yuhuang plum, mountain plum, etc., born in hillside bushes, sparse forests in valleys or watersides, ditches, roadsides, etc., are cultivated in various provinces of our country. The fruit is ripe, full and round, exquisitely carved, beautiful in shape, sweet in taste and rich in nutrition. Let's take a look at the price and planting method of plum seedlings.

How much is a plum seedling?

The price of plum seedlings is generally about 1-3 yuan, but the prices of plum seedlings of different varieties and specifications are very different. There are many varieties of plums. The traditional fine varieties in China are Madame Plum, Jiaqing Plum, Carrier Plum, Hongxiang Plum, Yuhuang Plum, Mi Plum, May Plum and so on. The main foreign plum varieties introduced are Dashi Zaosheng, Japanese King Li, Misi Li, Rose Queen, Blackstone, American Dali, Changle Niu Xin Li, Vanguard Li and so on.

Planting conditions of plum seedlings

Plums have strong adaptability to the climate, as long as the soil is deep and has a certain degree of fertility, no matter what kind of soil can be planted. High requirements for air and soil moisture, extremely intolerant of stagnant water, poor orchard drainage, often resulting in rotten roots, poor growth or prone to a variety of diseases. Therefore, in production, the garden should be built in places with loose soil, good soil permeability and drainage, deep soil layer and low groundwater level.

Propagation methods of Plum seedlings

1. Grafting: the grafted scion is collected from the mother tree with high quality and high yield, which can be budded or cut. The bud grafting is carried out from June to August, and the cutting is carried out from January to February.

2. Cutting: plum annual wood cuttings are very easy to take root and become seedlings, and it is easy to survive by digging the root segment with a diameter of 7mm and 8mm in winter.

3. Ramet: soil accumulation in the rhizosphere promotes the formation of adventitious buds on horizontal roots, and the tillering seedlings and mother plants are separated into independent seedlings for transplanting the following year.

Planting methods of plum seedlings

1. Seedling selection: there are many varieties of plum trees, but plum seedlings with pure varieties, complete root system, strong buds, no quarantine objects and no diseases and insect pests should be selected for planting.

2. Timely planting: plum trees should be planted before bud germination, there is a phenomenon of self-flowering infertility, cultivated varieties should not be single, different varieties with the same flowering period should be planted as pollination trees.

3. Rational fertilization:

① plum tree base fertilizer is generally based on late-acting farm manure, such as compost, barnyard manure, crop straw, green manure, deciduous leaves, etc., it is better to apply it in autumn, and 50kg farm manure is applied to each adult plum tree.

② topdressing before flowering can be carried out 10 days before the sprouting of plum trees (in the first ten days of April), and 0.5 kilograms of available nitrogen fertilizer or 25 kilograms of mature manure is applied to the trees.

The topdressing of ③ plum trees after anthesis should be topdressing with available nitrogen and potassium fertilizer in time to reduce physiological fruit drop. From late May to mid-June, 0.5kg should be applied to the plant.

④ applied compound fertilizer of available nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium from physiological drop to the period of rapid expansion of fruit (from late June to mid-August), and applied 0.5 kg per plant.

⑤ topdressing during the period from the beginning of coloring to harvest. This time, it is mainly phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and the foliar spraying of available nitrogen fertilizer is better, and the concentration is 0.2-0.3%, combined with spraying.

4. Drainage and irrigation: plum trees need a certain amount of water in all phenological periods of the year, irrigation should be carried out before budding, young fruit expansion stage and shoot growth period, and frozen water should be irrigated once before winter. In addition, the plum tree is afraid of waterlogging, so the plum garden should repair the drainage system to avoid waterlogging.

5. pest control: the main diseases that damage plum trees are plum red spot disease, plum gum disease, and insect pests are plum heart borer, aphids, red spiders and so on.

① red spot disease: sprayed with Bordeaux solution 1 / 2 / 200 when the plum trees were not blooming and when the leaf buds were unfolding, while explaining the removal of diseased leaves and fruits in the plum orchard and concentrated destruction.

② gum disease: strengthen orchard drainage, increase organic fertilizer, improve tree disease resistance, timely control of branch diseases and insect pests, reduce diseases and insect pests, scrape off glue parts, then apply Baume 5-degree stone sulfur mixture, and finally apply white lead oil protective agent.

③ small heart borer: turn over the tree plate in autumn or spring, destroy the overwintering place of the larvae and reduce the number of overwintering insects. In the peak incubation period of plum heart borer larvae, spray with 1000 times of Lefuling EC 2000 times or 40% triazophos EC.

④ aphids: the injured leaves were sprayed with 2.5% Kung Fu EC 4000 times or 40% dimethoate emulsion 2000 times before the leaves were rolled in spring, and during the growing season, apply the solution around the trunk about 6 cm wide with a brush and wrap it with a note.
