What are the varieties of longan trees?

1. Shixia longan: Shixia longan is a famous species of fresh food with a long history of cultivation. The original species came from Pingzhou, Nanhai, Guangdong and spread widely to Guangdong and Guangxi. There are three strains of yellow shell stone gorge, green shell stone gorge and palace powder shell stone gorge, which matured in the early and middle of August and are precocious varieties.

The main results are as follows: 1. Scion selection: longan trees with low grafting can be long or short, but it is best to choose young and middle-aged trees under 10 years old from the point of view of easy operation.

2. Rootstock selection: for young and middle-aged longan trees under 10 years old, grade 1 or 2 oblique backbone branches can be selected as grafting rootstocks, and the branch diameter can be about 3-10 cm. Usually, 3-5 rootstocks are selected for 3-5-year-old trees, 5 for 6-year-old trees and 10 for adult trees.

② cut the scion: the scion length should be 5cm / 6cm, the upper end should have 1 / 2 full axillary buds, the lower end should be cut into a 45-degree fracture with the scion, and the lower fracture surface should be cut into a long cutting surface similar to the cut length of the rootstock, reaching to the xylem, and the fracture and cutting surface should be smooth.

③ insert interface: put the fracture under the scion toward the rootstock, face the interface, and insert gently along the interface, its long cutting surface is close to the bark and pressed by hand at the same time.

④ interface fastening: first tie the interface with a special plastic film for grafting, and then wrap the rootstock and scion, and the axillary buds of the scion should be covered with single-layer film.
