Mountain peach, also known as mountain hairy peach, hairy peach, peach, etc., is a small deciduous tree of Rosaceae. It is often born in hillsides, valleys, or wild sparse forests and shrubs. It is mainly used as rootstocks for peaches, plums, plums and other fruit trees. Wood can be used for all kinds of fine work and walking sticks. Kernels can be used as toys or rosary beads, and seeds can be extracted for consumption. Let's take a look at the seed prices and planting methods of mountain peaches.

How much is the mountain peach seed per jin?

The price of mountain peach seed is about 610 yuan per jin, but it varies according to the quality, variety, producing area and market of the seed. Many mountain peaches have high self-flowering seed-setting rate and small variation of their offspring, so many old producing areas retain the habit of seed propagation, but the yield is highly commercialized in large-scale economic cultivation, such as the use of seed propagation often confuses varieties and inconsistencies in yield and quality. seriously affect orchard management and income, so grafting propagation is still better in economic cultivation.

Sowing method of mountain peach

1. Selection and breeding site: mountain peach seedling land should choose flat, good drainage, more fertile sandy loam or light loam soil, but also have irrigation conditions, should not choose the soil is too sticky or low-lying waterlogged land, and should not be selected at the windward outlet.

2. Soil preparation and fertilization: the peach nursery land should be ploughed and raked deeply, generally turning the soil in autumn, with a depth of about 25 centimeters, and applying 2500 to 5000 kilograms of barnyard manure per mu in autumn, turning the manure into the soil, and then raking and leveling it.

3. Seed disinfection: there are more empty seeds of mountain peach seeds. After water separation, the empty seeds floating on the mountain peach seeds are fished out. Then soak the seeds with 0.3% 0.5% copper sulfate solution for 1 hour or 0.5% potassium permanganate solution for 2 hours for seed disinfection.

4. Accelerating germination treatment: in order to make the seeds germinate quickly and neatly before sowing, the commonly used germination methods are snow-mixed burial method, mixed sand germination method and warm water seed germination method.

5. Sowing time: the sowing time of mountain peach is also different due to different climatic conditions, so it should be sowed early according to local climatic conditions, such as mid-and late-March in North China, late March to early April in Northwest China, and mid-and late-April in Northeast China.

6. Sowing method: when sowing mountain peach, in order to ensure the yield and quality of seedlings, the sowing amount should not be too small. When the seed purity is more than 90% and the seed germination rate is more than 85%, the sowing amount is about 10 kg per mu.

7. Post-sowing management: the seeds of mountain peach began to germinate and unearthed about 10 days after sowing, and the peak emergence period was about 20 days. In order to facilitate seed germination, the soil in the seed layer should always be kept moist, and the bottom water must be permeated before sowing.

Planting methods of mountain peach

The main results are as follows: 1. planting method: the row spacing of mountain peach is 4 × 5 meters or 3 × 4 meters, 500,840 trees per hectare are planted, and the planting period can be from defoliation to pre-budding, but not continuous cropping, otherwise the growth of young trees is obviously weak, the leaves lose green, the new roots turn brown, and the branches and stems flow gum.

2. Rational fertilization: the requirement ratio of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium in mountain peach is about 1 ∶ 0.5 ∶ 1. Young trees should pay attention to control the application of nitrogen fertilizer, otherwise it is easy to cause overgrowth, and apply more nitrogen fertilizer after the full fruit stage to enhance the tree strength.

① base fertilizer: it is better to apply the base fertilizer of mountain peach in autumn combined with deep ploughing. If it must be applied in spring, it should be applied as early as possible, and immediately after the soil is thawed, otherwise it will exert its fertilizer effect and cause new shoots to grow after June.

② topdressing: mountain peach is generally topdressing 2 to 3 times a year, mainly available fertilizer, urea before flowering, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer after anthesis, diammonium fertilizer, diammonium fertilizer and a small amount of urea.

3. Tree pruning: mountain peach has strong growth potential and short life span, strong germination and branching ability, and is prone to secondary or tertiary secondary shoots, which will lead to poor results if it is not pruned properly, so the happy tree without central stem is often used in shaping or pruning.

① young tree pruning: young trees should make full use of their exuberant growth, strong sprouting and branching ability, early mature buds can form multiple secondary shoots on strong branches, and flower buds can form early, on the one hand, expand the crown, on the other hand, cultivate strong backbone branches.

② pruning in full fruit stage: the main function of pruning in full fruit stage is to adjust the relationship between growth and fruit. the pruning method is to re-cut in the middle and lower part of the tree or fruiting branch group, leaving 3 ~ 5 nodes or 1 ~ 2 nodes according to the strength of branches to promote new shoots and form fruiting branches in the next year.

Pruning during ③ growing period: after bud germination from late April to early May, a strong shoot was selected where branches were needed. From early May to early June, competitive branches, weak branches, dense branches and drooping branches were thinned according to growth potential, thickness and position.
