Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Many people like to raise this kind of plant in water, because it will be cleaner and easier to manage, and it will look good with bottles. But in this way, its growth rate is relatively slow, and without keeping warm, it is difficult for it to survive the cold winter. So many flower lovers want to change hydroponic culture into soil culture. So what can be done to achieve the highest success rate?

First, aquaculture

If you buy this kind of plant, whether you plan to raise it in water or plant it in the soil, you should first grow it in the water for a period of time, remove the leaves below it, and clean it, otherwise it will rot in the water, and all the leaves under the mouth of the bottle will be removed, so that it can grow very fast.

Insert it into the bottle, fill it with water, put it at home, and don't move it within seven days, so as to give it a stable growth environment, pay attention to factors such as temperature, humidity, light, and so on, and don't change water for it before its roots come out. Just add water to it after the water evaporates. As long as other factors are suitable, it can grow roots in about 30 days, and then it can be changed into soil culture when it is three or four centimeters long.

Second, root cutting

Don't think that if you plant it directly into the soil, it will survive. in fact, this is not the case. you should take it out of the water after its root grows, remove the rotten parts, wash the green algae and water on it, and put it in carbendazim so that it can be sterilized and then taken out to dry.

Third, soil selection

It needs soil with strong ventilation and drainage, such as sand, which can mix ordinary soil with fine sand and rotten leaves. The soil made in this way is its favorite and can make it grow better.

IV. Move the basin

Move it directly to the basin, the basin had better not be too big, not too deep, otherwise the water can not be drained. The soil only needs to be half the depth of the basin. After planting it, the water should be watered thoroughly, then the soil should be filled, and then watered. After that, put the basin in a windy area for about seven to fifteen days, and then let it see the sun. Generally, when planted in the soil, it will have a stronger ability to resist the severe cold. Although it is very cold in winter, the soil can keep warm to prevent it from freezing to death, and it will grow very green the next year.
