Now there is a very popular drink on the market, that is, it is made of passion fruit, which has considerable economic value, and the efficacy and nutritional value of passion fruit are also very considerable. Although the planting area of passion fruit has increased now, but the output has not increased significantly. Today, the pro-agricultural network has brought you several tips that can make passion fruit high-yielding. Let's take a look.

1. Sowing seeds at the right time

If passion fruit is to be planted for high yield, the planting time must be reasonable, so when is the best time to plant passion fruit? According to the research, passion fruit can be planted in two seasons, that is, February and March in spring and August and September in autumn, and the best planting time is from the end of February to mid-March and the end of August with September. The main reason is that the temperature at this time and therefore are very consistent with the growth conditions of passion fruit, so if you want to have a high yield, you must remember to replant it in these two periods.

2. Planting conditions

Passion fruit is very adaptable to the environment, but if you want to increase its yield, you still need to know the best conditions for its growth. If there are conditions, we should choose the areas with developed traffic as far as possible, and it is best to plant in the sandy soil with sufficient fertility, so that its water storage capacity and permeability are better. The temperature of planting should be kept between 15 and 28 degrees, the lowest temperature should not be lower than 8 degrees, and the maximum temperature should not be higher than 30 degrees, so the greenhouse must be used for heat preservation in winter. And summer needs to be used to dissipate heat and increase permeability.

3. Reasonable density

In order to increase the yield, it is necessary to plan the planting density when planting. According to relevant investigations, an average of 50 to 80 passion fruit trees can be planted per mu, which can be distinguished according to the different areas planted. For example, about 50 to 60 plants can be planted in areas with strong soil fertility, while 70 to 80 trees can be planted in areas with relatively poor soil. Generally, the distance between plants is about three meters, and the distance between rows is about four meters. This planting density is more scientific.

4. Scientific fertilization

The growth life of passion fruit is generally about five years, so there are certain differences in fertilization at each stage. During the seedling period, nitrogen fertilizer is generally the main fertilizer, and then some manure and urine water is applied and a small amount of urea is added in the middle to irrigate. When it grows to a certain extent, it is possible to apply a little more potash fertilizer. On the other hand, the fertilization of passion fruit trees in fruit stage needs to be applied in batches, urea is generally applied before flowering to promote branch and leaf growth, phosphorus fertilizer is applied at flowering stage, potassium fertilizer is applied at fruit stage, and nitrogen fertilizer is applied after fruit harvest, which can be applied in accordance with the principle of frequently applying thin fertilizer.

5. Pruning branches and leaves

Passion fruit trees must carry out branch and leaf pruning in a certain period of time, otherwise the yield will be affected. Pruning is generally divided into two seasons, that is, spring and autumn, when the old branches and diseased branches will grow new branches. If they are not cut at other times, it may also lead to early senescence and yield reduction of passion fruit trees. The purpose of pruning is to maintain the permeability of the field. Finally, we must prune lightly when pruning. Otherwise, the plant will die and suffer heavy losses.
