Blueberry is a perennial shrub small fruit tree, because the fruit of the fruit tree is blue, so it is called blueberry, blueberry is very rich in nutrients. Such as anthocyanins, anthocyanins help to activate the retina and strengthen vision. It can also prevent eyeball fatigue. Blueberries are small fruit trees, so the corresponding diseases will also increase, so what diseases will occur in blueberries? How to prevent and cure these diseases? Let's take a look at it.

1. Root nodule disease

Root nodule disease mainly occurs in the period of changing season between spring and summer, and the initial stage of infection is characterized by a slightly protruding bulge in the root, or a milky tumor with an unsmooth surface. The tumor will slowly expand, get bigger and deeper, and eventually the whole root will turn dark brown. Root nodule disease will affect the absorption of water and nutrients, resulting in the normal growth and development of plants. In the selection of seedlings to choose good growth, strong, disease-free seedlings, found that infected plants should be taken out immediately. To meet the amount of water and fertilizer needed by the plant, ploughing and fertilization should be careful not to hurt the root, remove the tumor in time when it is found, and bandage and disinfect the injury after removal.

2. Stiff fruit disease

Stiff fruit disease is mainly caused by fungal pathogens, the hyphae will develop inside and outside the leaves and flowers, resulting in cells can not bear rupture and death. Cell rupture makes the stem, leaf and flower lose vitality and malaise. After a month, these bacteria will gradually expand to the leaf, stem and flower, and spread to the new flower. After that, the damaged leaf, fruit, stem and flower will all wither, dry up, and fall. The best way to control infestation is to spray urea in the early stage of the disease in early spring and some azinamide before flowering to control the invasion of bacteria.

3. Stem canker

Stem canker is also a disease caused by fungal bacteria, which mainly harms the stem, causing the stem to wither and even die in summer. In the high temperature and drought environment, the color of the leaves will gradually turn brown. After the branches are mature, the leaves will be wound around the branches, mainly through the media such as Rain Water and the wind. When the blueberry tree is dormant for the winter, the withered and discolored branches should be cut off, and all the diseased branches should be cut to normal parts. When selecting the orchard at first, we should choose the land where there has been no disease, apply fertilizer frequently to promote the rapid ripening of branches, and cooperate with the pesticides to prevent and cure the fruit disease to reduce the incidence rate.

The above three diseases are the most common diseases in blueberry planting, but they are definitely not only these diseases, but also gray mold, black spot and so on. When you find that there is something abnormal in blueberries, you should observe the symptoms in time, determine the type of disease and then prescribe the right medicine. Do not use the medicine blindly, let alone mix all the agents for convenience, because such a high concentration will burn out the roots of blueberries and seriously affect the yield.
