The pistachios we usually see are basically processed products, and many people have never seen pistachios growing on trees. In fact, pistachios are wrapped in a skin at the beginning, but we eat it as its core. The economic value of pistachios in the market and its sales are very good, but many pistachios are not so ideal in quality. Today, the pro-agriculture network will tell you a few problems that you need to pay attention to when planting. This can ensure that you plant pistachios with high yield and good quality. Let's take a look.

1. Soil

As soon as we hear the name pistachio, no matter when we are happy, it is OK no matter where it grows, but if we want to grow pistachios with high quality and high yield, then the choice of soil is the most basic condition for pistachio growth. We generally choose soil with good permeability or sandy soil, such as calcareous soil and yellow soil are very good choices, the second is that the pH of the soil had better be moderate, of course, it can also be acidic, but absolutely not alkaline, otherwise it will directly affect its growth.

2. Moisture

The growth of pistachios also has certain requirements for water, which cannot grow in the soil with stagnant water, so the planting land had better have a certain slope and no potholes, and secondly, there must be water in its provincial period. if the rainfall is less, although it will still bear fruit, but the quality is more stupid, especially in the summer when water shortage, it is likely to get nothing, futile. Therefore, the humidity of the planting site should be maintained at least between 40% and 50%, followed by an average annual precipitation of about 300mm, so as to maintain the normal growth of pistachio trees.

3. Lighting

Pistachio tree is a very light-loving plant, so its requirements for light are relatively strict. The growth of pistachio trees needs enough river closure so that it can bear fruit. According to relevant statistics, pistachio trees need at least 3,000 hours of light a year, which means that they should be exposed to light for about eight hours a day. Secondly, it is best to keep the temperature of pistachio trees at about 28 to 30 degrees, but in the fruiting period, the greater the temperature difference between day and night, the more the results, so they can increase the temperature during the day and cool down at night.

4. Fertilization

The fertilization management of pistachio trees is carried out in stages, in the seedling stage, only one fertilization is needed, and adult fruit trees need to be applied at least three times a year, according to the growth stage, the first time is when it germinates in spring, the second time is when it blossoms, and the third time after fruiting, after four or five years of fruiting, then we need to add one more fertilization to the flower girl on this basis to prevent the seedlings from aging. Reduce the yield, so it is necessary to apply fertilizer after each harvest, of course, for pistachio trees, it is best to apply organic fertilizer.

5. Pruning

As pistachio trees have strict requirements for light, pruning and leaf pruning is also a very necessary thing. Reasonable wake-up pruning can enhance the light transmittance in the garden, so as to ensure the fruit rate of pistachio trees. we generally prune the weak branches, withered branches, old branches, diseased branches and leaves in places where the growth is too dense.

6. Pollination

Pistachio tree is a kind of hermaphroditic plant, which means that it can carry out self-pollination. Although the fruit setting rate of self-pollination is high, it is not fruiting, and the phenomenon of fruit drop is very serious. So we need artificial pollination to a certain extent, which can improve the success rate of fruit and the final yield of pistachio.
