Jujube is one of the top ten wild fruits in China. People who have never eaten it will definitely not. Because of their ugly appearance and unknown fruit, many people think that they can't eat it. But after eating, I know that the jujube taste is very sweet, and the jujube is also very rich in nutrients, although the artificial planting area is not very large, but the editor thinks that this is a very promising fruit. So the editor brings you some matters that should be paid attention to when planting jujube. Let's take a look at it.

1. Budding before sowing

There is a layer of dry substance in the outer skin of jujube seeds, which makes the water absorption capacity of the seeds very poor, so we need to accelerate the germination of the seeds when planting. Zizyphus jujuba is generally suitable to start sowing around March every spring, but the temperature has not fully recovered in March, and the seed stem germinates slowly. Before sowing, use the hotbed to accelerate the germination of the seed, the temperature should be kept at about 20 degrees, and it will begin to germinate in half a month. It can also be germinated by building a plastic fence outdoors, and the temperature needs to be kept at about 20-25 degrees for half a month, and it is found that the coleoptile begins to whiten and can be sown. Plastic film should be covered after sowing, and the coverage of plastic film only needs to be covered between the rows with seed stems, and the seedlings can be removed after emergence.

2. Irrigation and drainage and fertilization

Zizyphus jujuba likes to be moist and resistant to fertilizer, but is very afraid of stagnant water. Before planting, it should pour water through the planting ground and each planting hole, which is conducive to seed germination and emergence. During the growing period of seedlings, it is necessary to keep the soil moist but without stagnant water, timely watering in dry weather, and timely drainage of orchards in the rainy season to prevent stagnant water from potting roots and dead seedlings. The fertilizers are mainly agricultural machinery fertilizers, and the soil should be fully fertilized before planting, and topdressing should be applied at least twice during the growing period. The first time is from May to 6 in summer, and the second is after August.

3. Interplanting and picking flowers

Zizyphus jujuba is also a very shade-tolerant crop, it can grow well in a continuous shade environment, and will not hard its yield. On the contrary, too much light time will also affect its growth, so when choosing a planting site before planting, we should try to choose a gentle slope of half-shade and half-yang, or interplant with young fruits, corn and other crops. Two months after jujube sowing, the plant will gradually blossom and bolting, which consumes more nutrients, so it is necessary to remove the flower buds in batches in time, so that nutrients are concentrated in the underground tubers to promote the growth of tubers, which is very beneficial to the yield increase.

4. Delay the fall of seedlings

As mentioned earlier, Zizyphus jujuba is a shade-tolerant crop and does not like strong light. If it encounters continuous high temperature and strong light, it will fall down and then stop growing. Therefore, properly delaying seedling inversion is an important condition for high yield of Ziziphus jujuba. According to the experiment, in addition to proper shading and sprinkler irrigation measures to reduce the light intensity and temperature of fruit trees, a little sulfite milk solution can also be sprayed on fruit trees, which can effectively inhibit plant respiration, shorten seedling period and frequency, and help to increase production.

These are some of the problems that need to be paid attention to during the planting of jujube, the growth rate of jujube is relatively slow, so farmers need to be patient enough. Generally, jujube is planted incidentally when planting other projects, and it is precisely for this reason that the planting area of Chinese jujube is far less than that of other fruits. However, when jujube is planted, there will still be considerable economic benefits. We can consider whether it is suitable for planting according to our own conditions and planting environment.
