So how to grow soft seed pomegranate? Let's take a look.
1. Choose a place to build a garden
The construction of the garden requires that the areas with convenient transportation, flat and open terrain, loose and fertile soil, leeward to the sun, and complete drainage and irrigation facilities should be fertilized before planting, applying 5000 kg of rotten compost per mu, and raking it and raking flat together with the soil. When planting holes are dug according to the row spacing of 2 × 3 meters or 2.5 × 3 meters, the length, width and depth of the holes are required to be 0.8 meters, so that the garden is good, and a small area of the garden can be used as a nursery to raise seedlings.
2. Methods of reproduction
Soft seed pomegranate has strong asexual fecundity, so cuttings are used to propagate seedlings when planting in a large area. The cuttings were collected from November to March, and the one-year root tillers or the sturdy twigs growing in the crown of the mother plant were cut off as cuttings. The cuttings should not select the branches that had been harmed by diseases and insect pests, mechanical damage and abnormal growth. The length of cuttings was between 15 and 20cm, and there should be 1-2 full buds on it to ensure smooth germination. The cutting time is generally from February to March in spring, when the temperature is conducive to rooting, cutting can be carried out with professional tools, convenient and fast, after cutting to cover the soil firmly and watering, good to pay attention to the cutting density, it is appropriate to plant spacing 20 × 50cm.
3. Raising seedlings
The management of seedling stage should be strengthened after cutting. the early stage after cutting is mainly to loosen soil and weed, preserve soil moisture and increase temperature, which is generally maintained for 40 days. After that, the cuttings have taken root and become seedlings, so it is necessary to strengthen fertilizer and water management, topdressing 1-2 times, 5-7 kg urea per mu each time, and foliar spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate dissolved oxygen 1-2 times to improve the trace elements needed for seedling growth, and pay attention to underground pests so as not to harm the roots.
4. Planting
When the seedlings are defoliated, they can come out of the nursery, and when they come out of the nursery, a deep 30cm trench should be opened on one side of the seedlings, and then cut vertically on the other side according to about 20-30cm of the seedlings to dig out the seedlings with soil. When digging, we should not damage the root system and trunk, cut off the disease and insect branches of the seedlings, and then transplant them by stages. When transplanting, put the seedling Fuzheng into the planting hole, stretch the root system, firmly cover the soil, and pour slow seedling water once to improve the survival rate.
