Last Updated: 2024/11/24, Succulent plant has a lovely appearance and is loved by many flower friends. However, many flower friends do not know that as long as a little trick, you can make their own succulent more beautiful, to learn it!

Succulent soil is so matched that it won't rot for 10 years!

The reason why succulent plant has super drought tolerance is that it has water-rich leaves and stems, which can provide water in the anhydrous season.

However, there is a problem-it is rich in water, and if the soil is too water-preserved or improperly watered, it is easy to die because of too much water.

Therefore, if succulent plants want to be planted well, they need to start from the soil!

Succulent plants are loved by flower friends because of their gorgeous colors, strong drought tolerance and simple management. This is a lazy plant that can grow very well without watering for months!

1. What are the types of soil?

The soil of succulent plants can be divided into two types: granular soil and peat coconut bran.

Granular soil is the general name of volcanic rock, green zeolite, Maifan stone, red jade soil and so on. They are a kind of ore, which can play the role of hydrophobic, prevent rotting roots and release trace elements.

I like to use volcanic rocks and green zeolites, because they are cheap and friendly to the people, and they can generally be used by volcanic rocks: chlorite at 2:1.

Green zeolite:

Volcanic rocks:

Peat coconut bran is a mixture of peat and coconut bran. I use it according to the ratio of peat to coconut bran at 2:1. It can play a role in absorbing nutrients and retaining water.

two。 How to match the soil for succulent plants?

I am in Fujian, where the summer temperature is high and rainy, and the planting environment is a terrace, so it is necessary to configure the soil with very good drainage, and it is necessary to add more granular soil at this time. Because the granular soil can drain quickly, thus avoiding the death caused by stagnant water.

In an environment similar to the balcony, water evaporates slowly, and granular soil should be added to the configuration.

My suggestion is granular soil: the proportion of peat coconut bran at 2:1, which drains well and can be discharged in time even if it is carelessly watered. If you are in areas with little precipitation in the north, you can reduce the proportion of granular soil and plant it at 1:1 or 1:2.

Only when succulent plants are raised in this way can they be chubby and red!

I don't know if any flower friend will say: alas, why other people's succulent plants are so beautiful, but mine is so green! In fact, this is your improper maintenance, so it is green!

If succulent plants want to cultivate gorgeous colors, they can be summarized by a formula: temperature difference + water control + long-day sunshine = gorgeous colors. As long as we grow succulent plants according to this formula, we can raise them beautifully even in Fujian.

1. Temperature difference

Temperature difference refers to the temperature difference between day and night. The greater the temperature difference, the easier it is for succulent plants to become beautiful. Generally speaking, the temperature difference between day and night is large in autumn, winter and spring, so basically succulent plants can have gorgeous colors during this period of time. This is related to chlorophyll and colored bodies, which involves cellular microstructure that has nothing to do with this article, so it will not be discussed here.

two。 Water control

Water control means to control watering. Succulent plants are native to South Africa and have little rain and drought. Succulent plants adapt to the local environment and can grow beautifully only in a dry environment, so we must control the water!

So how to control the water? A mixture of soil like mine can be watered once a month. When watering, it is best on a sunny afternoon. When watering, it must be watered thoroughly. Moisture is controlled, succulent growth is compact and ornamental value is high.

When it rains, keep it out of the rain, otherwise it is easy to get black rot after heavy rain! If you can't get out of the rain when it rains, dry the succulent leaves and avoid the sun for two days.

3. Long sunshine (more than 5 hours)

The temperature is low in autumn, winter and spring, which gives succulent long sunshine. With the participation of temperature difference and water control, the synthesis of chlorophyll in succulent body is slow, and the colored color will show gorgeous color.

At this time, put the succulent plant in the best place in the sun and wait for it to be "colored".

That's all for today!
