Black plum is not only a kind of fruit, but also a kind of traditional Chinese medicine, which has high nutritional value and medicinal value, but it can not eat for a long time, otherwise it will cause uncomfortable reaction. Black plum is also common in our life, but it mainly appears in the form of dried fruit, which can be used to treat chronic diarrhea, lung deficiency and cough, vomiting, abdominal pain, Ascaris syncope, etc., but also has an appetizing effect. So how do you plant black plum? Let's learn more about its planting method.

1. Forest land rectification and reform

Black plum has the characteristics of warm, moist, sunny, cold-resistant, drought-resistant and afraid of water, its vitality is relatively tenacious, and it is not picky about the soil where it is planted, but it is generally better in the yield and quality of black plum planted in loose and fertile soil. In particular, it is best not to plant black plum in heavy clay and saline-alkali land, which is not easy to survive and has many diseases and insect pests. The topography of the planting land should be high, good drainage, fine soil preparation, fertilization at the same time, mainly soil and miscellaneous fertilizer, an appropriate amount of urea, phosphate fertilizer, potash fertilizer and so on. Open a ditch to make a border, which is about 1.5 meters wide and 20 centimeters high, and you can wait for sowing.

2. Planting technology

There are three ways of propagation of black plum, which are seed propagation, grafting propagation and cutting propagation, but at present the most commonly used method is seed propagation. Seed reproduction is usually carried out in the spring in April every year. The seeds are sown evenly according to the distance between rows of 25 centimeters. The distance of each seed is about six to eight centimeters. Finally, the seeds can be covered with soil. Grafting propagation is generally carried out in early spring, so the survival rate is much higher, and one-to two-year-old rootstocks suitable for grafting are used. Cutting propagation can be planted in early spring or the Autumn Equinox, soaking with rooting powder before cutting, which can promote rooting. During the seedling period, the soil in the field should be kept moist.

3. Field management

Black plum transplanting is generally best carried out before sprouting in early spring, so that the survival rate of transplanting will be a lot. When transplanting, it is generally planted according to the row spacing of three meters and the plant spacing of two meters. Watering should be carried out reasonably after planting, which is beneficial to the survival of the plant. After the plum survives, we should pay attention to ploughing and weeding, and control the moisture in the field according to the change of the weather. Generally, the host fee needs to be carried out three times a year, and each topdressing is best combined with ploughing and watering, which is conducive to the absorption of nutrients and promote the growth of roots. At the same time, black plum should be pruned and reshaped at least once a year to achieve the effect of increasing production.

4. Disease and pest control

The most important disease of black plum is anthracnose, which not only harms the fruit of black plum, but also harms branches and leaves. In the early stage of the disease, we can use carbendazim wettable powder or carbendazim for prevention and treatment. Secondly, there will be gray mold, plaster disease, scab and so on, which can be prevented and treated with Sukeling wettable powder, 1 Baume, methyl topiramate wettable powder respectively. There are also pests that harm the growth of black plum, such as aphids, longicorn beetles, beetles, diamondback moths and so on. We can use pyrethroids insecticides to kill them.

In fact, the planting method of Wumei is very similar to that of cherries we usually grow. In the process of planting black plum, in fact, there are still a lot of things to pay attention to, we will continue to update and improve in the later stage, if you want to know more details, you can pay attention to us.
