Guava is not a common fruit in our life, also known as guava, is a tropical and subtropical widely cultivated fruit trees, it is nutritious, suitable for the elderly and children to eat, and now widely used in industrial processing, is a new type of fruit representative. Let's take a look at its planting management technology with the editor.

1. Planting environment

Most plants prefer a warm environment, and guava is no exception. Its most suitable temperature is between 20 and 35 degrees Celsius. If the temperature is below zero, its young trees may freeze to death directly. The requirements for the soil are not strict, sandy and clay can grow normally, but like the acidic soil, the pH value of the soil should be controlled between 5.5 and 6.5.

2. Methods of reproduction

Guava has three propagation methods, one is cutting propagation, select the 2-3-year-old mother plant that grows well, select the branch diameter 1.2-1.5 cm during the selection period, cut it into small segments with a length of about 15 cm as cuttings, the bottom of the cuttings can be soaked in indolebutyric acid and sucrose solution for a period of time to promote rooting, the cutting temperature should be controlled between 28-32 degrees, preferably between February and April. The second is high-altitude pressure strip control, select 2-3-year-old mother plant, peel 2-3 cm around the top 50 cm of the branch, smear rooting powder at the place of peeling, wrap the soil, after two months, the ring can take root, then separate it from the mother plant and replant it. The third kind is grafting, bud grafting and branch grafting can be carried out, it is best to carry out in winter and spring, the scion should choose the old, tender and suitable, just desquamate, the leaves of the scion should be erased in the first half of the grafting, cut off in the bud, unbound after a month, and planted a year later.

3. Timely planting

Planting is generally carried out in spring, the planting density should be determined according to the variety, if it is an early-maturing variety, and the soil of the planting site is relatively barren, the plant row spacing can be kept at about 4 meters; while if it is a mid-late maturity variety, the plant spacing should be kept at 4-5 meters, and the row spacing should be kept at 5-6 meters. When planting, first plough the soil, then dig planting holes, apply base fertilizer, and don't forget to water the roots after planting. If there are more branches and leaves of the seedlings, they can prune some of them properly to reduce unnecessary nutrient loss. After planting, some pillar facilities should be done well so as not to cause seedlings to lodge due to excessive wind.

4. Daily management

Fertilization should not be too fierce in the young tree stage, in order to cultivate new shoots, topdressing twice according to the growth of new shoots, when the new shoots grow to 40 cm, mainly apply some nitrogen fertilizer and urea. For the number of adults with fruit, topdressing should be divided into stages, such as promoting flower fertilizer, strong fruit fertilizer and fruit protection fertilizer, mainly compound fertilizer, and the corresponding elements should be added according to the growth stage. Moisture conditions should be determined according to the weather conditions, if it is the rainy season to pay attention to spraying, so as to avoid stagnant water retting roots. For young trees, it is necessary to do a good job of shaping and pruning to promote the plant to form a crown with good permeability.
