There is a kind of Chen Xiusu in the lost Ten Little Images of Ming Hui in the two books, and the postscript of Lan Hui is as follows: "out of Jiaxing. Official kinds of daffodils; iron thread leaves, core-shaped micro-long, small flat-cut; soft pocket to hold the heart, large tongue, lotus-shaped bamboo petal, also Suhui middle and high grade. This is only true of Chen, who was cut off in the early years of Taoism. " In the book, it is called "Chen Xiusu" as "official species of daffodils" and "lotus-shaped bamboo petals". The cover of "official species of daffodils" does not refer to "official species of daffodils", but there is a big difference between them. I tasted the cloud: the ancients did not have the "daffodil valve" valve. This is proof! Otherwise, is there a flower that belongs to both bamboo and daffodil petals? The situation is only more than 40 words, which is self-contradictory. Why is Mr. Kui Lou so confused?

The world thinks that the lotus and plum petals are quite vivid, but the "daffodil petal" is far from the appearance of the daffodils. The petals of the selected flowers are not as wide as the calyx of the daffodils, and all kinds of analogies still miss the point. The so-called "daffodils" of the ancients did not refer to the outer petals, but to the "shape" in which the inner and outer wheels of the flowers were separated. As we all know, the lotus and plum calyx petals are adjacent to each other, so it is difficult to distinguish them from each other, while Lanhui is similar to Narcissus. The calyx petal is separated from the calyx, and there is a clear distinction between the inner and outer chakra, that is, the inner and outer valves. The elders of dill in the ancients who saw Lanhui or those with outer petals like lotus were called "lotus", or those with outer petals reunited close to plum petals were called "regiment petals" or "plum petals", while those beyond bamboo leaves, chicken feet and lines less than lotus and plum can also be added, called "super petals". This is all about petals, but after all, Lanhui is not lotus and plum, and its types are different, so it is called "petal" in the name of "daffodils", also known as "petal" and "type". In the name of "lotus-shaped daffodils", "plum-shaped daffodils" and "super-petal daffodils", it is a chimerism of two flowers to describe the appearance of Lanhui. the lotus and plum can reach the short and wide shape of the outer wheel of Lanhui. The daffodil shows the clasping state of the inner chakra on the table. This is the most exquisite theory of the ancients!

The ancients attached great importance to the inner chakra, and the selection of orchids must first look at "insects" and "vegetarian". The insect is the type of the middle palace, and the plain one is the color of the middle palace. Those who reach one of the two can be imported, so those who are called "insects" must be "daffodils". "Lan Yan Shuoluo" means that among the daffodils, those with white heads are called "skillful species", and those without white heads are called "official species", all of which are of high grade. It can be seen that daffodils are not necessarily white-headed. For example, Zheng Tonghe, the so-called "lotus petal", should actually be called "lotus", which is also a kind of lotus-shaped daffodils. As for the "first incense note" that daffodils must be pocketed, Gai specifically refers to "skillfully planting daffodils"! There is a cloud in the book: "Narcissus specializes in heart-holding, plum and lotus chicken feet and lines." Another official kind of daffodil, holding a short pocket shallow, slightly white edge is also. A total of three lobes are expensive, but if you have a wide edge and an angle, it is not expensive enough. " It can be seen that the outer three lobes are chicken feet, and the skillful species of lines can also be called "daffodils". Therefore, there should be "bamboo petal daffodils" and "chicken feet daffodils", but there must be no "bamboo leaf daffodils" and "chicken feet daffodils". Therefore, those who are "lotus-shaped bamboo petal daffodils", such as Chen Xiusu and Jin Shuisu, do not enter the product, because they can be entered, but there is no reason to call them "lotus-shaped bamboo leaf daffodils"! We should carefully observe the difference between the two.

In addition, the ancients also had five parts to divide the nest for the top, split the head and close the back for the second, and even the shoulder and back for the bottom, which should be more skillful in terms of the gate. It is the very beginning of planting the door that there are more than shoulder-to-shoulder folds, such as today's "green peach", and the five-petaled nest such as "soft silkworm moth holding" is the beginning of planting the door. Try to deduce that some of the support of the official door and the skillful door are imitated by the ways of yin and yang, civil and martial arts, the official category is yin, and the skillful species are yang, then the "open skylight" is no longer a daffodil, neither yin nor yang, so it is not enough to take; while the balance between yin and yang is called "yuan", "yuan" enters the official species if it gives birth to yin, and "yuan" enters the species if it gives birth to yang. From Yin to literature, "cat's ear holding" is the extreme of the official family, followed by "scissors holding", "pu fan holding", "clam shell holding", "untold mouth holding", "short round holding" and so on, all of which are the states of the evolution of the official door to the "Yuan". From no pocket to having a pocket, they are all measured by the degree similar to the shape of the daffodils, all from the extreme of yin to the beginning of yin. The beginning of Yang, that is, the beginning of skillful planting, is the "Yuan" slightly increased Yang; skillfully planted in the door of "soft silkworm moth holding", "Guanyin holding", "bean shell holding", "crab clamp holding", "hard silkworm moth holding", "fist holding" and so on, from the beginning of Yang to the extreme of Yang, from deep and slightly white to full white, so "fist holding" and even Yang to martial arts. In addition, there are a number of tongue shapes, all of which are matched. I have tasted the daffodils from "the extreme of official species" to "the extreme of skillful species". It can be seen that what the ancients meant was the top and the bottom, all based on the doctrine of the mean. If the flowers of the top grade are all between the beginning of the official species and the beginning of the skillful planting! At this time, the middle palace is round and wide, and the outer petal is the most upright. If you seek the poles, the petals are all flying at an angle, but the petals are wide but not expensive enough. I think the most wonderful flower, even more in the official category and skillful species, will not change when, really can be said to be only understandable! Does such a flower really matter in the world? "Huihui Tongxian" calls "Gai Zi" as "neither plum nor daffodil". What is it? Regard it as "yuan"! Those who call them non-daffodils refer to those who are not skillfully planted ears; those who call them non-plum petals are extremely reunited but not skillful; according to the embroidered statue left by Mr. Kuilou, they hold a short circle, and when they are about to change, they have both yin and yang, both civil and military, so that the flowers are not in the regular pattern, but they are also called "the first famous petals through the ages". Another cloud: "the total three petals are expensive *". The official kind of daffodils such as the western gods also have this phase. Their outer three petals are like plum, but the pu fan holds them with a slight white head, which is regarded as the top grade. How can there be a dispute between "plum petal" and "daffodil petal"?

In short, it is a fallacy to call "daffodils" as "daffodils" and "daffodils" must have white heads in their pockets. This is all taken out of context. Today, people also have "plum petal" and "daffodil valve". They all have pockets, and even there is no way to distinguish them from complexity and subtlety. Therefore, it is also said that "plum petal" must hold a small hard tongue, and "daffodil valve" must hold a large and drooping soft tongue. How do you know that the ancients were very fond of holding a soft tongue? A person with a big tongue such as bangs is a drooping tongue, but it is pushed to the top grade, while the dragon swallows the tongue in the second place. That is why today people only choose Xu Lou as "sick plum", but all the best flowers are included in the so-called "daffodil petal" category! I once said: there is no pocket flap also into plum, different kinds of officials have different types. There is no pocket in the type, and the valve is called Lotus Tuan Super. Narcissus is not a petal, how to hold it differently. However, in today's orchid world, the "new petal theory" of "lotus petal, plum petal, and daffodil petal" is very popular. Those who study ancient books and want to return the original meaning of the ancient "daffodils" will inevitably degenerate into heresy and may also be suspected of tampering with the traditional petal theory! No matter who wants to maintain the tradition, Lanhai is vast, is there anyone who is willing to listen to this sour and rotten words? All right, you should speak and those who want to hear it, those who want to scold it, and those who want to laugh laugh at it! Is it a pleasure to listen to it, scold it and laugh at it, and everyone gets what they like?

Note: this theory is based on the book "Lan Hui Tongxin Records", the masterpiece of the traditional petal theory, or quite in conflict with other orchid ancient books. Gai because the petal theory of Jiangsu and Zhejiang keeps pace with the times and varies from place to place in its history of more than 200 years, and the concept of "daffodils" is also different. It is recognized that the theory of petal pattern of Jiangsu and Zhejiang began with the Yi Lan Zaji written by Bao Yiyun in Anhui Province in the early Qing Dynasty. His notes said: "if the petals are short and the head is round, the petals are plum petals, the slightly pointed ones are daffodils, the ones slightly longer than daffodils and the ones with broad heads are lotus petals, and those with both upper and lower width are super-petal." If the petals are short and the head is round, the petals are plum petals and the petals are slightly pointed are daffodils. " That is, the "daffodil petal" here is really similar to the petal shape of daffodil petals! It has to be so that the lotus valve can be "slightly longer than the daffodils." At that time, the place, no matter the middle palace only to the petal theory, and Yunmei lotus daffodils are all of the best. In the first year of Jiaqing, Zhu Kerou's first incense Notes in Suzhou read: "Narcissus, with thick petals, clean and unglued petals, large and round shoulders and tongues, holding hearts like silkworm moths and pods, with thin and high flower feet, full hooks, clear seals and heavy white heads, are of high quality. Lotus, petal thick and have a pocket, holding the heart round, the root is thin, for the true lotus petal, otherwise although the petal is very wide, can not be mixed name. True super valve, the valve is thick and deep, the root is very fine, and it is shaped like a spoon. " Another cloud: "the plum petal is like plum, the group petal is not sharp, the lotus first receives the root, the petal thickness is expensive, and the daffodil specializes in seeing that the heart of the daffodil is short and has a pocket, regardless of the width and narrowness of the outer three petals, that is, the famous daffodil, the tip of the petal of the small shell, all have a barb, the large petal has a sealing edge, and the white head of the heart, such as the Guanyin pocket, the outer petal is as short and wide as a daffodil, it is a true daffodil." And when the grade is high and low, the daffodils are listed in front of the lotus petal, so it can be seen that the daffodils at that time is a skillful species with a very short and wide outer valve. While lotus petal and plum petal are all official types. Therefore, the so-called "true daffodil" is close to the "plum petal" of later generations, and the "plum petal" of its place at that time is the official kind of petal ear! It has been 80 years since Yuan Shijun, a native of Suzhou, published "A brief account of Lan Yan". It has been 80 years since it was published: "Mei petal and narcissus shall prevail when they see those who love their white heads, and they are skillful in name, and those who have no white heads are not right; those who divide their nests are not sandwiched on their backs; those who are as soft as Guanyin's pockets are good; the ones that are shallow are the second; those with chicken bean shells are also the same, and those with large petals without stilts and round heads are plums; the pointed ones are immortals. Five petals without tendons and clean, beautiful, shoulder flat, tongue drooping and round, big petal edge must be tight, such as pocket to its feet, plum should be round, immortal should collect roots, only then is the top grade. " It can be seen that there are official species and skillful species in the land at this time, and the plum petal is already a skillful species. Another cloud: "Lotus, with thick and pointed petals, short feet, short scissors, such as clam shell, is better. This is the true lotus." Group petal, round head, broad and short, does not take root; super petal, shaped like soup type, "visible lotus, group petal should be official, and its outer petal form corresponds to skillful daffodils and plum petals, that is, lotus and daffodil petals are" pointed "and" rooted ". The petals of group petals and plum petals are "round at the head" and "do not harvest roots". It is based on the fact that lotus flowers and daffodils, group petals and plum petals are nothing more than official species. If only petals are concerned, then the two types are the same! This is different from Zhu's theory. Another 11 years, Jiaxing Xu Lou out of the "Huihui concentric", then on the flower cloud: "the lotus-shaped daffodils are the most, the plum-shaped daffodils are the second, and the official daffodils are second." On the petal cloud: "take the lotus as the top grade, the mass petal as the top grade, and the super petal as the lower grade. In addition, bamboo and willow petals are not included in the products, such as chicken feet and lines, but they are only fragrant." I think it is not too much to regard this theory as the pinnacle of the petal theory of the national orchid. The so-called "lotus-shaped daffodils" are probably Yuan Shijun's "daffodils", the "plum-shaped daffodils" are probably Yuan Shijun's "plum petals", and the "official species of daffodils" include Yuan Shijun's "lotus", "group petal" and "super petal". It can be seen that from Bao Yiyun, Zhu Kerou, Yuan Shijun and even Xu Yilou, although the petal theory of the National Orchid comes down in a continuous line, it is not immutable! Why do I say that "the time is the place"? Because of different times and different regions, who knows that the things of the same name must be the same? Xu Yilou "so-and-so Narcissus" is known as petal-shaped and expressive, both internal and external, this sincere scientific classification also! While the rest of the orchid spectrum is called "a certain petal", it refers to its outer three petals, how can it replace the appearance of the whole flower? Petal type, the petal of Lanhui and the type of Cymbidium! Therefore, I thought that the "petal theory" had come into being at this point, but the previous theories could not be as good as possible. Xu Xilou's concept of "daffodils" is different from that of Yuan, Zhu and Bao. Although the "daffodils" in today's "New Valve Theory" has its own name, it is different from the original meaning of the ancients mentioned above. When we read the books of our predecessors, we should take its incisiveness, know it improperly, recognize the context of traditional culture in different opinions, and accept it.
