Raspberry, also known as raspberry, mountain throwing seed, milk bubble, is currently a relatively rare fruit in the market, and it is also artificially cultivated in many places, but it will be infected by diseases and insect pests in the process of raspberry growth, so what are the common diseases and insect pests of raspberry? How to prevent and cure it? Let's take a look.

1. Stem rot

The main harm to the basal branches of raspberry, generally occurs on the new shoots, the disease is that the new shoots will appear dark gray scald-like disease spots, the disease spots will expand rapidly around, the disease part will gradually turn brown, and black spots of different sizes will appear on the surface of the disease spots, and the xylem will turn brown and necrotic. Due to the expansion of the disease, the leaves and petioles will turn yellow and wither, resulting in the final death of the whole plant, and the peak period of the disease is in the high temperature and rainy season.

Control methods: cut and burn the branches of diseases and insect pests in autumn, spray methyl topiramate, ethyl aluminum and thiram solution at the initial stage of the disease, and the varieties with strong disease resistance can also be selected when planting.

2. Plutella xylostella

It is the main pest that harms raspberry, and it will also affect the yield of the second year. From May to July, the larvae begin to decay into the new shoots, often eat down, and often come out to eat the outer tough skin of the wormholes, mostly eating around for a week. The crushed sawdust will stick together with silk in the feces, and the ring trees will be attached to each other for a long time, causing the injured branches to break and die.

Control method: the damaged branches can be cut off during adult Eclosion and burned in concentration, which can reduce the threat of insect pests. 2.5% deltamethrin 2000-3000 times solution can be sprayed in the larval stage, and the control effect is better.

3. Piercing moth

This kind of pest mainly occurs in the red raspberry. It usually overwinters at the base of the basal branch by cocooning in autumn. The spreading leaves climb up the new shoots, eat them into the buds, and then drill into the new shoots, resulting in the death of the new shoots. After Eclosion, the adults lay eggs in the flowers, and the larvae will bite the berries and soon transfer to the base to overwinter, repeating the damage.

Control methods: clear the garden thoroughly after fruit picking after autumn, burn or bury the disease and insect branches, weeds, leaves and fruits, reduce the source of overwintering insects, and spray 1000 times of dichlorvos or 3000 times of 2.5% deltamethrin in early spring to kill the larvae.
