The reason why Phalaenopsis buds fall
Recently, many colleagues and friends asked why the well-grown Phalaenopsis buds would inexplicably shrivel and drop buds. The reasons are nothing more than the following: (Winter)
1, the air is not circulating, Phalaenopsis from the growth of flower buds to flowering, generally about 2 months. At this time, it was winter in the north. Outdoor cold intensified, often accompanied by strong winds, if not pay attention to indoor ventilation, Phalaenopsis long-term in this environment, flower buds at the top of the stem will wither;
2. Being attacked by cold wind, if the window is opened for ventilation in winter, and the outdoor wind is strong, the window is only opened with a gap, which is just blowing against the bud, causing the local temperature to be too low, which is easy to cause bud falling.
3, indoor air dry, Phalaenopsis hi high temperature and high humidity environment. Northern heating environment is easy to cause indoor humidity is too low, resulting in dry bud;
4. The indoor temperature is low and the watering is excessive, and the basin is too wet. Phalaenopsis likes high temperature and humidity environment. But high temperature and humidity are twin brothers and cannot be separated. Simple high temperature or high humidity will cause abnormal flower bud growth, withered buds;
5, indoor temperature is too high or too low, the appropriate temperature for Phalaenopsis flowering is 20-28℃, flowering night temperature is lower than 15 degrees Celsius or daytime temperature is higher than 30℃, will cause bud development or stop long;
6, too strong or insufficient light, Phalaenopsis due to variety problems, the demand for light is also different. Moderate light can promote bud growth, light too strong or too weak, will lead to bud development;
7. Too much fertilizer at flowering stage, avoid applying concentrated fertilizer at flowering stage. Fertilization at flowering stage should be applied thinly and frequently. Excessive fertilization concentration and frequency at flowering stage can easily cause bud drop;
8, accidental injury, flowers are plant reproductive organs, relatively delicate, careless bumping, will lead to bud injury, thus affecting development, yellow bud.
9, pests, flower bud growth period, more vulnerable to pests and diseases, growth is destroyed, affecting nutrient accumulation, but also the cause of flower drop bud.
After the first flowers wither in May and June, if you want to continue to see flowers and keep the original pedicels, you will grow lateral branches on the original pedicels in about one month, continue to sprout buds, and open the second flowers until the middle and late October. It was summer, and the reason for budding was mainly seasonal.
(The reason for the fall of the bud in summer)
1. The temperature is too high, the ventilation is not smooth, and it is stuffy. Root water evaporation is slow, root respiration is not smooth, resulting in bud drop;
2. If it is placed outdoors, wind and rain are also the reasons for poor bud development and bud drop;
3. Fertilization. Summer climate is hot, try not to fertilize or less fertilizer.
4. Excessive light burns buds. It causes the buds to wither and fall.
5. Accidental injuries and pests.
