The 18th China Agricultural products processing Industry Investment and Trade Fair will be held from September 6 to 8 in Zhumadian City, Henan Province. Since 1998, the Ministry of Agriculture and Henan Province have jointly held the 17th Agricultural Conference and signed more than 3700 key investment and construction projects, with a contract value of more than 110 billion yuan.
According to Zong Jinyao, director of the Agricultural products processing Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture, in 2014, there were 75700 agricultural products processing enterprises above the national scale, with a main business income of 18.48 trillion yuan, an increase of 8.2 percent over the same period last year. Agricultural products processing industry has become a strategic pillar industry and an important livelihood industry with high industrial relevance, wide industry coverage and strong driving role.
It is reported that the 18th Agricultural Conference will add two key contents: "Industrial Park Exchange" and "Internet + Agricultural products processing Industry Summit Forum". The ASEAN Council for the Promotion of International Trade will also set up an exhibition area in Thailand this year, organizing more than 60 Thai enterprises to participate in the exhibition and holding special promotion activities.
