Acid pulp, also known as acid bulb, lantern grass, lantern fruit, bubble grass, etc., known as girls in the north, the fruit is edible, originated in China, in the south and north have wild resources, cultivation has a long history. At present, it is widely planted in Northeast China, so how to grow acid pulp? Let's take a look.

1. Sowing seeds

Generally, seedling beds are built in sunny beds or solar greenhouses, and 2000 kg of rotten organic fertilizer per mu is applied to the seedling bed, which is turned and raked flat, watered before sowing and sown after underwater infiltration. The seeds can be soaked at a temperature of 45 degrees, or soaked in a low concentration of potassium permanganate for 10 minutes to prevent the seeds from carrying bacteria and viruses. After soaking the seeds for 12 hours, they are removed and germinated at 20-30 degrees Celsius. After 80% of the seeds are exposed, they are sown. After sowing, cover soil 0.5-1cm, then buckle strict plastic film, cover grass at night, raise ground temperature and promote germination.

2. Seedling stage management

Generally, the seedlings can emerge after 10-15 days of planting, and the seedlings should be separated from each other after emergence, and the seedlings should be divided at the stage of 2-3 leaves with a row spacing of 10cm × 10cm. Keep the soil dry and wet at the seedling stage, the external temperature at the seedling stage is low, and the evaporation can be watered without watering, and the external temperature at the seedling stage rises, which can be watered every 7-10 days, and should be drained in time during the rainy season to avoid retting and rotting roots. if the seedling stage is lacking, compound fertilizer can be applied once, generally 7.5-10 kg per mu. At the same time, attention should be paid to weeding, lest weeds affect the growth and development of seedlings.

3. Colonization

Acid pulp has strong vitality, loose requirements for soil, wide adaptability, strong stress resistance and so on. It is best to choose loam or sandy loam with fertile soil and good drainage. 3000-4000 kg of rotten farm manure is applied as base fertilizer per mu. Planting should be carried out after late frost, and the suitable planting period should be from the growth of 6-7 leaves to the first blooming of the first flower. attention should be paid to less damage to the roots in order to slow down the seedlings. The planting density is about 5000 plants per mu, and the row spacing is controlled at 25-28cm × 65-70cm.

4. Field management

After planting and retarding seedlings, 500 kg of rotten human feces and urine or 10 kg of urea were applied per mu, the second fertilizer was applied after the first fruit expansion, and 15-20 kg compound fertilizer was applied per mu to promote fruit development and plant growth. When planting, it is necessary to irrigate enough fixed planting water, slow seedlings to apply fertilizer to promote seedlings after watering once, that is, ploughing squatting seedlings, properly watering after squatting seedlings, keeping the soil moist, generally watering once a week, hot and hot in summer, water evaporation, watering every 3-5 days. After planting, the soil should be ploughed once after each watering, so that the soil is loose, the soil temperature is increased, and the root system is promoted. In the early flowering and fruiting stage, combined with topdressing, the soil is cultivated to avoid plant lodging, and it is also conducive to irrigation and drainage.
