Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Fire dragon fruit is a very popular fruit in China, there is a very large market demand, and its price is relatively close to the people. When planting dragon fruit, it is very important to build a frame, which is of great importance to the yield and quality of dragon fruit.

Pitaya is a very popular fruit in China, with a very large market demand, and its price is also relatively close to the people. When planting pitaya, it is very important to set up frames. Reasonable frame setting has a great impact on the yield and fruit quality of pitaya. So how do you plant pitaya? Today, Xiaobian brought you the method of setting up dragon fruit. Let's take a look at it together!

1. Height and angle of erection

When setting up the frame, the first thing we should pay attention to is to control the height of the bracket. The vertical distance from the top of the support to the ground should be kept at about 180 cm, so as to ensure that the length of the branches hanging from the top is not less than 150 cm, promote the formation of fruiting branches, and facilitate the later farming operations. Then control the angle, because the lower vertical growth direction will grow at an angle to the top stent. If the angle is too small, it is easy to pull and press the branches, causing the branches to break and damage. Usually, the radius of the upper bracket is about 1/5 of the vertical height. If it is disc-shaped, the radius of the disc should be kept at about 35cm.

2. Scaffold material

The growth time of pitaya is very long. At the longest time, the growth cycle of a pitaya tree can reach 20 years or even higher. Because pitaya grows big, and the soil has to be kept moist for a long time. Therefore, it is not advisable to choose materials such as trees and bamboo that are easy to decay, and to use hard, pressure-resistant and corrosion-resistant reinforced concrete preforms. It is also not appropriate to simply use steel as a support material, because in summer, the temperature is very high, and steel is a material with strong thermal conductivity, which is easy to cause burns to the attached stems and leaves.

3. Support stability

The support is constructed by burying the bottom of the main column in the soil. However, because the soil is wet for a long time, the soil will be soft and easy to affect the stability of the column. Moreover, the support was also relatively high, and there were also a large number of dragon fruit branches attached to it. The pressure was very high. If it is affected by external environmental factors such as strong wind, it is easy to lose the center of gravity and cause the column to fall. Therefore, the depth of the soil purchased at the bottom of the main column of the support should be determined according to the changes in the soil and the surrounding environment. Usually the shallowest should be kept at about 50cm, and then the upper drooping branches should be evenly distributed.

4. Frame density

The density of the frame is also very important. Reasonable density is the basic guarantee for the growth and pruning of pitaya. Because pitaya is a perennial tropical fruit, it has strong germination power, and its growth ability will become stronger and stronger with the increase of growth years. Therefore, under normal circumstances, the plant spacing control should be controlled at about 2*2.5 meters. In the early stage of dragon fruit growth, because the growth rate of dragon fruit is slow, many people will increase the density. It leads to the disorderly growth of pitaya in the later stage, not only the permeability decreases, but also the influence on the flowering and fruiting of pitaya is very large.

The above is a simple introduction to the dragon fruit frame method. Today's introduction is here, this article is for reference only, I hope to be helpful to everyone.
