It is estimated that the total output of wheat in 2015 will be about 231 billion jin.
In 2015, the state will continue to implement the minimum purchase price policy for wheat in the main producing areas, which is conducive to stabilizing farmers 'income expectations from grain cultivation. However, due to the restrictions on cultivated land and water resources, the process of land circulation and economic development and construction, the wheat planting area in some main producing areas has shown a slight downward trend. Based on the survey results of all parties, it is estimated that the winter wheat planting area in China will be 339 million mu. Due to favorable weather during most of the wheat growing period, it is expected that the total wheat yield in 2015 will increase slightly, and the total wheat yield in 2015 is preliminarily estimated to be about 231 billion jin. Due to rainy weather in some main producing areas during wheat harvest and listing from the end of May to the beginning of June, the quality of some wheat was affected to some extent. Especially in Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei and southern Henan, the proportion of imperfect grains is relatively high.
Domestic wheat consumption is expected to remain largely stable in 2015/16. Among them, the demand for rations continues to show a rigid growth trend with the increase of population, but the growth rate further slows down; under the influence of factors such as the breeding industry is still depressed and the corn stock level is relatively high, the advantage of wheat replacing corn for feed decreases, and it is expected that the feed consumption of wheat will decrease within the year. Overall, it is estimated that domestic wheat consumption in 2015/16 will be about 229.7 billion jin.
Although it is expected that imported wheat will still have cost-effective advantages in the later period, under the influence of the current international political and economic situation and import and export policies, it is expected that the commercial import quantity of wheat in China will be limited in 2015/16, which is expected to be about 4 billion jin.
It is comprehensively estimated that due to the decline in the number of feed wheat in 2015/16, the balance of new wheat supply and demand will be about 4.5 billion jin, and the supply-demand relationship will continue to improve.
