Strive to build our district into a strong area of animal husbandry.

II. Main objectives of work

There are 400000 live pigs and more than 5.62 million small livestock rabbits, and the per capita income of farmers in animal husbandry has increased by more than 300 yuan; the project funds have reached more than 4 million yuan; and there are no accidents in the quality and safety of animal products and major animal diseases in the region.

III. Main work arrangements for 2017

(1) Prevention and control of major animal diseases

1. We will establish and improve the animal epidemic prevention system and the early warning and emergency system for the prevention and control of major animal diseases. We will continue to implement the system of programmed immunization in large-scale farms, decentralized feeding and centralized immunization and supplementary immunity for farmers, and continue to carry out centralized and timely prevention of animal epidemics in spring and autumn in accordance with the promotion model of the whole village, so as to ensure that major animal epidemics do not occur.

Do a good job in dog immunization, achieve general exemption in spring and monthly supplementary prevention, ensure that no one has died of rabies infection throughout the year; do a good job in the surveillance of cow "two diseases" and sheep brucellosis, increase the surveillance area, so that there are no dead corners; do a good job in the investigation, treatment and captivity of animal schistosomiasis livestock, and consolidate the achievements already made.

3. Strengthen the functional construction of veterinary laboratories. We will do a good job in the renewal and acceptance of veterinary laboratories, carry out the detection of "two diseases", animal epidemiological investigation, disease diagnosis, and animal immune quality monitoring, so as to ensure the safety of animal diseases.

Further strengthen the supervision of feed, feed additives, veterinary drugs and other inputs, increase spot checks on prohibited additives such as "clenbuterol", severely crack down on the addition of prohibited drugs, and strengthen the comprehensive law enforcement of animal husbandry. We will further improve the construction of animal marking, supervision and traceability system, and implement market access and accountability system for animal products. Do a good job in quarantine of animals and their products in strict accordance with the law, strengthen animal health supervision, ensure the quality and safety of animal products, and ensure that quality and safety accidents of animal products do not occur. We will strengthen supervision over the harmless treatment of sick and dead livestock and poultry in the region, supervise large-scale breeding farms (households) to do a good job in the harmless treatment of sick and dead livestock and poultry, and severely crack down on illegal practices in the operation and sale of sick and dead livestock and poultry. We will continue to implement the harmless treatment mode of centralized collection, centralized transportation and centralized disposal of sick and dead livestock and poultry, and the harmless treatment rate of sick and dead livestock and poultry reached 100% in 2017.

(3) Ecological environment security

We should increase the technical guidance for the treatment of aquaculture manure, and actively pilot the comprehensive utilization model of "planting and breeding combined with local consumption, decentralized collection and centralized transportation, centralized collection and storage in a timely manner", so as to enhance the dung treatment capacity of appropriate-scale breeding farms and ensure the safety of the ecological environment.

(5) Building modern animal husbandry in the suburbs of the city

Adhering to the principle of "macro guidance, policy support, service in work, and interaction among the three industries", with the goal of improving the quality and efficiency of animal husbandry and increasing farmers' income, we should strengthen the harmless treatment of sick and dead livestock and poultry by adjusting the structure and controlling the scale. we will promote ecological breeding of livestock and poultry, speed up the cultivation of new types of agricultural operators, standardize the construction of professional cooperatives, and build modern animal husbandry in suburban areas.

A high-standard pig breeding farm will be built to meet the demand for breeding pigs in pig production in the whole region, reduce the losses caused by long-distance purchase of breeding pigs, and reduce the risk of epidemic diseases introduced from other places. We have implemented policies and projects to subsidize improved breeds of livestock, and the popularization rate of improved breeds of livestock and poultry has reached more than 98%.
