Progress in acquisition of Wheat, early Indica Rice and rapeseed in main producing areas

According to statistics, as of August 15, various types of grain enterprises in nine major producing areas, including Henan and Jiangsu, had purchased 55.29 million tons of new wheat, a decrease of 11.21 million tons over the same period last year. Grain enterprises in eight major producing areas, including Jiangxi and Hunan, purchased 3.54 million tons of new early indica rice, an increase of 30, 000 tons over the same period last year. Grain enterprises in nine major producing areas, including Sichuan and Hubei, purchased 1.22 million tons of newly produced rapeseed, a decrease of 1.89 million tons over the same period last year.
