The heat is coming! How should southern vegetables deal with the hot summer after plum?

Technical measures should be strengthened to ensure the safe production of vegetables in the high temperature period.

To strengthen the vegetable plots with good shading and cooling facilities, we should make full use of the scaffolding to cover the sunshade net and multi-functional extinction film, so as to reduce the sunlight transmittance and cool down. Temporary sunshade can cover the old film and other cooling. Moisture-resistant vegetables can turn on fog spraying facilities at noon to cool down, such as celery, water spinach, etc., but can not simply rely on spray watering. High-end rare vegetables, start the water curtain to cool down. Conventional vegetables can be watered in the morning and evening to reduce the ground temperature and ensure the root activity. Aquatic vegetables such as lotus root and Sagittaria maintain shallow water layer and promote the growth of underground parts.

The selection of heat-resistant varieties of green leafy vegetables in summer is in great demand in the market, so we can make use of free land to sow a batch of yield and income. For example, Chinese cabbage should select heat-resistant varieties such as Huaguan, Huawang, Xiadi, Dongfang 56, Dongfang 18, Hot 9, as well as amaranth, spinach, water spinach and so on, so as to reduce the physiological diseases of high temperature.

Optimize the cultivation method and reasonably arrange the interplanting of different vegetable varieties, such as towel gourd, balsam pear, pumpkin and other climbing vine vegetables, make full use of the lower open space to sow shade-tolerant vegetables, plant stems and leaves with long-stalked vegetables reasonably, and naturally shade to improve yield and quality. The uppermost ear of summer tomato leaves 2-3 leaves during pruning, and the outer leaves of cabbage and cauliflower are picked to cover the leaf ball. Pumpkin, wax gourd and other melons can be covered with grass to prevent sunburn from causing rotten melons.

Fine management of fertilizer and water during the period of high temperature, vegetable watering should be thoroughly watered, and watering of fog spraying facilities should be checked frequently to prevent high surface humidity and lack of water in the lower roots. Watering should be carried out while the sky is cool, the ground is cool and the water is cool, and the source of water gives priority to well water. Do not flood irrigation, so as not to cause physiological water shortage. Fertilization should be combined with watering, adjust fertilizer with water, and improve the utilization rate of fertilizer. The spraying concentration of foliar fertilizer should be reduced appropriately and the water consumption should be increased. In addition to spraying potassium dihydrogen phosphate, calcium superphosphate, etc., and properly increasing the spraying of 0.1% zinc sulfate or copper sulfate solution, the heat resistance of the plant can be improved, and the ability of fruit cracking and sunburn resistance can be enhanced.
